We need to remember that the movies listed in this thread, which will be out for the holidays, will be coupled with many Fox titles (dependant of course on BD+ being good to go) and WB's HD-DVD releases that they'll finally be putting on BD (Batman, etc.) Talk about domination, this holiday season is going to be utterly apocalyptic for HD-DVD. Batman is still a top 10 for HD-DVD, think about what it will be like on BD, along w/ the other titles this fall! Insanity.

Warner is releasing new releases. But, many key catalog titles have so far been nearly 100% HD DVD exclusive. Even when there isn't IME (e.g. Casablanca and Forbidden Planet). So, I wonder what is Warner's excuse for the non-IME titles that are MIA? Gary |

Something tells me Warners will use the BD+ excuse now for non-IME titles, just to stretch things out. However, they did say they'll be releasing the Matrix later this year, so you can call them on that if they don't do it.
Hopefully by the fall enough writing will be on the wall (ie. BD+ is good to go and Fox is releasing their catalog, imagine if their previously announced titles were out now!). Yea, "believe it when you see it" is the best approach, but I say that if they don't announce Batman and V for the fall, we riot. |

reference or not i`ll take transformers when it hits on BD the selection of hddvd movies is sad though some titles (Evan Almighty and The Bourne Ultimatum)would definitely make nice BD additions ,the fall doesn`t look stellar for hddvd

Weinstein seems to have stopped releasing titles.
Both Hannibal Rising and Arthur and the Incredibles have both been released on DVD now with not a word about an HD DVD release. They have two titles slated for release for the rest of the year right now. Maybe they're waiting for BD+ also? ![]() |
