Where's the region A steelbooks? - Blu-ray Forum

Seriously? I know they're not for everyone, in fact I just have 4 in my DVD collection (Platoon, Boondock Saints, TCM, Robocop). But given how thin and flimsy blu-ray cases are, an occassional steelbook for that "special movie" would be nice.

Furthermore, what warrants a movie to have a steelbook release anyways? Sorry, I just don't know.

I only see steelbook DVD's on ebay. I want some BD ones soon.

I have I am Legend on blu-ray. That one was release in Region Free (warner) in Canada, with Futureshop Store...

I Am Legend is the only one I've seen. I'm a bit surprised by that fact (I was shocked to learn there was no steelbook for NT: Book of Secrets- could have been cool, a Steelbook of Secrets they could have called it) , hopefully Future Shop gets some more exclusives like that for Blu-ray in the near future (no pun intended). We need ones for the Blu-rays of Transformers (I already got the DVD in a Steelbook- so I might just use that to hold the Blu-ray) and Iron Man this fall, plus all the other big ones, but those two definitely need them)

He is asking about REGION A, not worldwide releases

I own 6 steelbooks bluray(4 preordered), and the only one Region A is I Am Legend, we are getting screw. They need to start releasing more steelbooks. I hope for one for Ironman

Does it really matter when it's region free? Unfortunately if he wants steelbooks he HAS to import... End of Story.

My Sweeney Todd is "shipping soon" whatever that means lol..Been almost 2 weeks since I placed my order. What do you expect for overseas.

There will likely be Blu steelbooks by fall. Best Buy has said that special packaging will be being extended to Blu-ray soon
