Thank you very much Judex. If I had been a little more alert I would have gone to the website at Amazon to check this as I just have to see it if is available for pre-ordering.

Pre-order price is £19-99 which no doubt will be down to £13-14 in no time at all.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Farewell-Arm...rewell+To+Arms

A definite buy and hopefully it will match the Kino release in all respects.

Apparently the 'Alain Robbe-Grillet: Six Films 1963-1974' set has been pushed back a week, at least based on an update sent from Amazon.

I really want to get this but I don't want people to think I'm a sex pest. Will the BFI please change the cover?

^I'd say nuts to the people that make spot judgments like that without at least bothering to ask you (politely) about the set and why you have it.

How very British

Can't you just order it on Amazon if you're afraid to leave the store with it?

I have the Borowczyk set ordered to put aside for my 30th later in the year. The gift is being given to me by my dear old Mum. In fact, I'd be disappointed if there wasn't some scandalous cover art within the set!

I would love to see the BFI release more films similar to The Great White Silence and The Epic of Everest! Anybody know about any possible future releases similar to those?

So the BFI should change the cover because you have problems owning a release with a bit of nudity on the front cover? No sexual acts or anything, just a naked woman painted in red?

And you are considering skipping what looks like to be a wonderful, and inexpensive, box set, by the wonderful people from the BFI, just because of that?

Your call, but you really shouldn't let your insecurity regarding what other people might think of your tastes and hobbies getting in the way of your enjoyment.

I have that pre-ordered too.

It's going to be an expensive month. In the UK, the following box sets will be released in a 30 day or so period:
-Alain Robbe-Grillet: Six Films 1964-1974
-Camera Obscura: The Walerian Borowczyk Collection
-The Werner Herzog Collection
-Jacques Tati Collection

I already had to cancel a couple of individual films, otherwise I'll have to file for bankruptcy.

Not to mention the B&N 50% off Criterion sale the same month. Delays seem to irk a lot of people, but I'm hoping the Herzog set gets bumped to August to be honest. I think the tentative date for the Twin Peaks set is in July too, but I'm sure that'll get pushed back.

Yup. I didn't even dare tempting myself with the Tati set, and just cancelled Camera Obscura...I might regret it later on, though I do know someone who's buying it so perhaps I might ask to borrow it one day. Herzog is a must though - no cancelling going on there!

And slightly earlier in June is the Chris Marker Collection, although this one is slightly cheaper

Yes that too. And Deadwood as well. I had to cancel Camera Obscura unfortunately as I can't really warrant a £60 blind-buy. I am however getting the Chris Marker and Werner Herzog sets, and have also pre-ordered Twin Peaks, Deadwood and the Stray Cat Rock collection.

July looks to be the best month to me though - Black Narcissus (Network), Under The Skin (with slip + black amaray), Harold & Maude (MoC), Herzog set (BFI), Eyes Without A Face (BFI), Twin Peaks (absolute ultimate edition by the sounds of it) and Branded To Kill (Arrow). That's if everything goes to plan and release dates aren't put back!

EDIT: also forgot...Godfrey Reggio's Visitors too

Don't know if this has already been posted but I've just preordered Herzog Blu Collection from Zavvi, as it's not only cheaper than anywhere else I could find (£50) but there's a 10% off code too.
