Hmm maybe that's my bad then, on thinking it was a given it was for the most part largely seen
Couldn't care if something won best picture or not. It never appealed to me so I haven't seen it and probably never will.

It's in nearly 2,000 members Blu-ray collections. Something like Argo is in more than 6,600 collections. Frozen less than 5,000.

Nice to see Gwendoline Christie cast. I'm looking forward to seeing some shots of her in the coming months.

You should go find the making of books of all the prequels. There are lots of practical sets and models, even more than the original trilogy. Maybe the CGI extensions were too good people failed to discern them.

Is Star Wars Episode 7 in 3D or not? I would guess not or I would have probably heard about it.

No doubt a 3D conversion.

Daniel Mindel shoots all his movies in film. And I don't recall him shooting in 3D. If anything, it should be converted later.

3D can be natively shot on film. So that really has nothing to do with it.

I have a strong feeling we'll be getting our first female villain in a Star Wars film.

Yes. I know. But 35mm 3D is very, very rare and expensive.

Anyway, I am 95% sure JJ Abrams and Dan Mindel will shoot this in anamorphic 35mm film just like their Star Trek films, and then convert later. They've even dropped the idea of shooting this partially in IMAX too.

I was speaking merely of people seeing it, not necessarily owning it
(ie while I thought it was a great movie after seeing it, I don't own it and I'd be unlikely to buy it and add it to my collection b/c of rewatchability purposes personally.... the other two titles mentioned arguably are much more inclined for subsequent viewings, and Argo was popular what with all the BF sales it was included in this past year )

anyways, enough side tracking ..

Are you only looking at the game of thrones pictures? Because she is far from an ugly woman. I don't even know why I'm responding to your childish comments anyways as it feels like a waste of time.

Nothing more than a rumor so far though. And there is nothing that says you can't have more than one villain. One Sith lord and apprentice, maybe, but they could even change that up this time around if they wanted to. Though they could also certainly have a female villain that isn't Sith.

Yep. Also read John Knoll's "Creating the Worlds of Star Wars 365 Days" coffee book. Gets into how much the Prequels used sets and models.

For instance, did you know that the podrace in Episode I was 50% model work? It wasn't all CG as was touted.

It's sad that most people just assume that everything in modern movies is CGI when so much of it, especially in the Prequels was model work. It's also hilarious that people just assume that it's so easy as well, like the animators just press a button and a character or location just comes to life. What ignorance.
