12,99 GBP preorders are really OK , even a little bit more for movies like sullivans travels, or stuff that got a new master made by or for arrow.
but your average 80s horror flick?

MoC has sometimes movies for 10-11 GBP including free shipping worldwide...

by the way.. a decent release of caligula is out of question anytime soon?
I commented on this a month or so ago. Arrow seem to have upped their prices at release in the last couple of months. Earlier this year Arrow on their own website had preorders for £12.99 but now they are £15.99 or higher. Pit Stop in particular is very over priced everywhere. Now rather than get a release day buy from me, I am waiting for an under £10 sale so they are losing out.

Agree that MoC are going the other way with prices as bought If direct from them a week ago for £10.99 as a new release with other sites a bit higher.

PQ wasn't bad though.

Not sure what you were expecting Tele!

Its not one Id buy but its enjoyable for what it is from what I remember. I do wonder why people are buying so many Arrow releases blind when some of the films are questionable to say the least . I dont think Ive seen quite a few of the recent releases but there is no way Im buying old small budget films blind.

Im not including all those recent Vincent Price releases in the above of course - they are nearly all must buys for me and both Theatre and Pit releases are excellent. Cant wait for the Phibes set!

Who Dares Wins was always a favourite of mine as back in the day was really into 80s action movies, much more so than horror. Therefore it is nice to see Arrow release titles like this and Wild Geese plus their recent release of Delta Force. I think though these films are very much of a time so if its not a genre that appeals then may be better to go for some other films in their range, unless you can pick up very cheaply so worth a punt, especially as Arrow's extras on their BDs are normally such good value and informative unlike many companies efforts.

Just received the following

We regret to inform you that the release date for Milano Calibro 9 has been pushed back indefinitely with no new date currently confirmed.

We can only apologise for the delay and if you would like to cancel your pre-order until a new date is confirmed please contact our orders team at: orders@arrowfiilms.co.uk who will be able to assist you.
Does any one know what caused the issue. Is this really now not going to come out ? Got pre ordered for £12.99 so a good price and happy to wait if it has just been delayed for a few months.

It doesn't look hopeful, the provisional date is now 31/12/2015 which is another way of saying there isn't a hope in hell in my opinion. Certainly wouldn't be giving over any money for that length of time without a product and with virtually no chance of getting anything at the end of it.

It's very strange, certainly with the news coming last week, only a week before the release date. What's more, Arrow seem reluctant to divulge any information on the reason why.

Last minute problem with the rights, if not the transfer?

it wasn't till someone ask them on facebook, that they said it being delayed, and they suggest that arrow should email all those of prepaid with them an update and offer refunds etc.

got that email this morning, I am thinking I prob just ask them to swap it for an upcoming title of the same price.

From an Arrow email:

Quote:
Unfortunately we are having to push the release date for Phibes back by 1 week to June 16th.

We were expecting these to be ready and shipping by the end of this week but unfortunately the replication process has taken slightly longer than we expected due to the special packaging.

All orders from the Arrow Store will be processed and shipping as soon as the sets arrive which should be happening mid next week.

As was to be expected...

Has anybody who had pre-ordered Theatre Of Blood directly from Arrow received their replacement disc yet? AFAIR those should have been ready 3 weeks ago.

From what I have read elsewhere if you bought Theatre of Blood direct from Arrow the replacement disks arrived last week if you are in the UK, mine came Wednesday I think.

This was the reply courtesy of Twitter;

'There are a few technical issues. We have somebody looking into it so will hopefully have a fuller update to share soon!'.

If you're in the US, they seem to have just begun shipping them - mine went out today (I emailed them to ask). Do they just send you the disc, or the whole package, complete with booklet?

Your right many are blind buys, but the vast majority I have thoroughly enjoyed so you kind of win some loose some.
