Hahaha. Let me first say that the title of this thread made me come here and actually WANT to leave a ridiculous comment...that being said....this is basically like me saying that Iron Man is better than...oh...I don't know...I'll go with Hairspray. I am going to start a thread..."Iron Man is Ten Times Better Than Hairspray". Apples to oranges my friend.

Now...as to why I quoted this....Global Warming is a gimmick. The world however, is kind of like a computer. The more ya mess with it....the more that goes wrong.

Movie goers love disaster flicks. Especially when they are epic or of biblical proportions. I think some people read the bible just for the smitings.

i for one definately do not want to be on the receiving end of some of the smitings!

Toshiba however will be and will definately not be going through the pearly gates on judgement day! HD-DVD was purley the work of satan himself, why else would they choose red as their color!

Both movies sucked, I will agree that Twister sucked more.

oh, please, go watch a show on TLC or discovery channel about it. DAT is accurate, global warming causes the ice caps to melt which shuts down the underwater ocean currents which leads to the new ice age.

The sonics in the Day After Tomorrow completely blows Twister's presentation out of the water. Twister is one of the few movies i have in my Bluray collection that i will probably never watch again...once is enough!
Maaaaaaaaybe 9 times better. I think that 10x is pushing it.

No, it's more like: Would you rather have diarrhea or constipation?

I remember way back in 1996 when Twister was one of the movies everyone was talking about. For its time, Twister was a great movie with great special effects. Compared to modern day films, it just cannot compete. I used to love Twister way back when it first came out, and now i just laugh at the cheesy dialogue and crazy scenes. I thought the blu ray version of Twister had pretty good PQ (4/5) and not as good SQ (3/5). The Day after Tomorrow did have better PQ (4/5) and SQ (4/5), IMO. But with 8 years of advancement in special effects as well as sound, its no wonder why Day after Tomorrow fared better than Twister.

Besides, neither movie was that great

And at least Twister knew it was cheesy and had fun with it.

So Toshiba is the only company to release a format that failed. Get over it already. If I recall Sony has had their fair share of failed formats so does that mean they are ahead of Toshiba at the gates. I thought not.

I also hear that solar variations are causes of global warming too. The whole global warming is a big get rich money grab. Do I think the planet is warming? Yes. DO I think we are responsible? No. We may make a very small impact but the sun is the ultimate cause.

What I find disturbing is a movie gets judged by the picture quality or the sound quality but not the movie itself. Twister is a much more believable topic then The Day After Tomorrow.
