I think it's pretty stupid when a store has different prices in-store vs. online, Wal-Mart managers should be taken to task and forced to explain why that is...

In reality, you're only talking about $5. For some fans, $5 might be worth the price just to get it a couple of days early.
Yeah, I recently did that with Patton and Signs. Got them at Blockbuster for $34.99 and was more than happy to pay that amount to have them early. Then again, that's not much different than I pay normally anyway since I almost always buy them locally.

I guess I should have asked at Target. I did check there for some of the titles hoping to find them early but they weren't out. Since they'll be released tomorrow I guess I'll just wait until then. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up though.

I think the $19.99 price for Cloverfield has caused so many sales that my order won't ship on time. I have 5 other releases coming from Amazon tomorrow (4 of them Blu-ray) and all have already shipped, leaving just Cloverfield in "Not yet shipped" (not even Shipping Soon).

I'd honestly rather pay the $7 extra and get it on time than wait another 4 days or whatever. I'll give it to tomorrow to ship, and if it hasn't I'll cancel and just get it at Newbury Comics when I go to get the new Weezer CD.

I have 2 other BDs that shipped today (Signs and Semi-Pro) and Cloverfield is listed as "not yet shipped". So it appears that there is a distribution problem between Paramount and Amazon.

Blockbuster is the worst for pricing. They are selling Resident Evil: Extinction for $42.99 in Canada!!

Barnes and Noble is worst than Blockbuster. Blockbuster, at least, sells it at the price that Best Buy does, sales not included. Barnes and Noble would sell it at MSRP, so at a BN in Canada, Resident Evil: Extinction would cost $45.96.

Anyway, no luck finding it early here... =/

Guess I'm not buying this in any stores then. I'll have to wait until Amazon decides to actually ship mine.

I went to Best Buy to see if I could try out the $19.99 price on the Wal-Mart online store price match, but lo and behold, it wasn't successful. I know I don't need to tell this story as everyone should know Best Buy's price matching policy, but I just wanted to put it out there: it doesn't work.

You might get lucky though...

Anyway, I just got my copy at Best Buy for $27.24, using the five dollars off from the Reward Zone program.

Target was the only place that had it today. Empty sleeves at BB, Wallymart, and even B and N was a no go. (not that I would have payed their prices) I was looking for Machine Girl on SD that came out today, and they actually had it and on sale ($16.99). Shocker.
