It certainly is not the best show they could have filmed and released from 2012 (or at all), but it wasn't the worst either. Their 2014 residency in Vegas was much better performance wise (I was at the last 3 shows), but I'm still glad to have a professional recording of a new Gn'R show. It was well shot, the picture is great, and the audio was amazing. RockFuel did a good job with this release.

Overall I grade it a B. This is probably because I wish it was the old G'n'R.
Performance-B. With Axl's new band it just seems he feels like he has to do more then he used to. With the old band, everyone knew the band. Everyone could perform. Now you have Axl running around which is fine, but it just feels like he feels he needs to do the whole concert by himself. In a sense it takes away from the others. Also enough with the Heisenberg look. Take the hat off and throw your bandana back on. Sound-A. At the beginning it did feel like Axl was lip syncing. but that was probably just me. The concert was great. 3D-A. This was a great 3D concert. The only thing I can compare to is "through the never". This had better "pop out" scenes. Got to love the price on this. 20 bucks. And it's 2 hours and 43 minutes long. Must have for Guns n Roses Fans. |

My son and I really enjoyed this movie.
3D quality was excellent. A good number of pop outs and plenty of depth, which really made us feel as if we were at the concert. Soundtrack was very good as was the musicianship. Axl's voice was pretty good for the most part with a few exceptions but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the concert. |

Saw this last night. Thought the 3D was great in this.
Guns And Roses 3D blu release BEATS Metallica's 'Into The Never' 3D blu release in that: 1) The aspect ratio was 1:87 in GNR. Metallica's was 2:35 2) cheaper price 3) included 2D viewing option (had to buy the 2D blu separate from the 3D blu for Into The Never) 4) IMO, better pop and overall 3D effect (but both releases are great 3D presentations) Metallica's Into The Never 3D blu BEAT the GNR 3D blu in that: 1) Metallica gave a way better performance..and it showed!! Truly, Metallica IS the better band PERIOD (imo) 2) Had a story arch to go with the live concert that offered a visual story to the music |
