According to the forum rules, discussion of titles you'd like to see on Blu-ray that have not already been released on Blu-ray or announced for Blu-ray belong in the Wish Lists subforum. This version of the film has not been released on Blu-ray or announced for Blu-ray, so a thread about it belongs in the Wish Lists subforum. And as jscoggins pointed out, there's already a thread about Director's Editions of the Original Series films there.

Alternatively, there's an existing thread about the Original Series films on Blu-ray: The Star Trek Original 6 movies thread. If you don't want to talk about it in the Wish Lists subforum, asking in that thread if there has been any news on the Director's Edition would be more appropriate than starting a new thread.
