That's some good info, thanks for that.

It does not go into my top five list of Westerns on Blu-ray, simply because there's so much stellar competition both in terms of movie content and video quality (How the West Was Won, Shane, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, Red River, Once Upon a Time in the West, the original 1957 version of 3:10 to Yuma, the new remaster of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and so on), but it's a great Twilight Time title and an excellent film in its own right.

According to Blu-ray.com, westerns and film noir are both "strongly over-represented" in my collection. I love the way that movies in both of these genres look in glorious high definition, though, so I will continue to clog my cinematic arteries with more of these titles as they are released in the format.
I'd recommend to you The Big Gundown, which I'm sure you have heard of. It's a 60's spaghetti western with Lee Van Cleef and Tomas Milian, great cinematography, an utterly fantastic Ennio Morricone score (included on CD), and a spectacular finale. Grindhouse Releasing showed it some love with a solid transfer and 2 cuts of the movie, and plenty of interesting extras. It really is a wonderful package overall.

Though admittedly that would be entertaining as well....

"And here's this crazy girl again. Wait, isn't he like 30 and she's 13? That seems a bit messed up. And she's all "French" too. Man, French girls are either 10s or 1s. She might turn out to be a 10, but again, she's like 13. When I was 13 I met this cute Italian chick. We went and saw The Road Warrior. Have you seen The Road Warrior? That guy with the boomerang blade is awesome! And just - whip! - no fingers! Anyway, I guess she's hanging out in a barn now? Her Dad is kinda a dick, but a barn? There's gotta be hella bugs in there. Ever see those flying ants? Weird stuff, man."

Thanks for the info. 30 bucks is just pretty steep, but I am a big B movie horror fan, and I had never heard of that one so it totally caught my interest.

Yeah, so much for the autographed copies lasting longer this time. Luckily, I was able to get one.

It took three minutes for the autographed copy to disappear. I bought BRANNIGAN, VIOLENT SATURDAY, SAVE OUR LEGS, and RADIO DAYS plus the autographed FATE IS THE HUNTER.

Managed to get the autographed BD along with the rest of my order; the site worked great this time! Since I already own Fate is the Hunter; I can keep this one sealed and unopened.

Two Rode Together
Man from Laramie
Violent Saturday
The Train
Fate is the Hunter (autographed)

In shock I was able to snag the autographed copy since I got all the way to checkout and then removed one of my titles from the cart and had to start all over again.

Snagged the autographed copy this time! (Missed the last two.) Took it an extra minute to show up and by 3:04 (Central Time) it was gone. Three minutes.

Ordered:
ROLLERBALL (didn't want to miss it; thank you, low quantity alert)
THE TRAIN
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO
THE MECHANIC
and FATE IS THE HUNTER (autographed)

Ha, ha... this is the first time in ages there hasn't been anything from TT I'm interested in (same with next month as well). Totally didn't realize it was pre-order day. I only just got my order from last month in the mail on Monday, am planning on watching the Mechanic as part of a Bronson-fest along with my copy of Death Wish that I haven't gotten around to watching yet. I might also re-watch my DVD double feature of St. Ives & Telefon.

My second free autographed copy in one month. Score!

Zulu
Rollerball
Brannigan
The Blue Max
Born Yesterday
The Blue Lagoon
Violent Saturday
Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation
Fate is the Hunter (free autographed copy)

I actually went back after my initial order and grabbed Brannigan and Rollerball. I was on the fence about both of these, but I figured no time like the present.

Total = $258.35

This whole financial security thing is overrated.
I'm at the point where I pretty much own all of the Twilight Time Blu-rays that intrigue me enough to purchase them, so this will probably be the biggest order that I ever make.
