If the under 50 cart game is accurate, there are only 43 copies of WILD AT HEART and 37 copies of ROLLERBALL left at SAE.

So from the looks of their reply it sounds like the ~100 copies Twilight Time has signed for promotions come out of their 3,000 printed allotment.

I figured the signed blu rays were additionally printed over and above the initial 3k that are up for sale (similar to additional prints that are made as Artist Proofs when a lithograph is printed up for sale). I guess that 3,000 number is a true edition size after all.

This just pushes me to watch all my TT blus as quick as possible when I place an order. I'd hate to get a defective blu (and have them sell out of the title prior to me getting a replacement).
I still think they have extra discs on hand for replacing defects. I had a defective disc one and they sent a replacement for me, but just the disc with no cover art or booklet. So they maybe only print 3000 copies of the cover art and booklet.

The more you buy the better the value. So for instance, if you get 4 titles, it works out to about $26 each
TCM Shop cancelled my order for Cover Girl as well as Dial M for Murder 3D.

Can someone tell me whether the PQ of the TT release of Wild at Heart is better than this UK release?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Wild-.../15584/#Review

Thats the one i have but if the PQ is a substantial upgrade (Worth and extra $30) than i'd rather pick up the TT release before it sells out

PQ is about the same. The main difference is the audio is much improved.

I'm selling autographed copies of Used Cars and Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia. I know scalping is frowned upon, but I'm selling them for MSRP so I figured it might be helpful to post it here if someone was going to buy the unsigned ones anyway (especially Alfredo Garcia which is just about OOP).

I'm interested in them both. I have been planning to buy both of them very soon anyway. PM sent...

Even though you got them for free, I don't think this is wrong. You did have to purchase a large order in order to obtain them. It's not like they were giving them out for free without a purchase. Even then, I'd still say it was okay.

TCM Shop sucks ass. I ordered Golden Voyage of Sinbad when they had it in stock and they never sent it to me. Then the title fell on back order, then sold out, and my order sat in limbo on their system for months. Then for a final stab in the back, they cancelled my order without ever telling me. I would never trust them with another Twilight Time order (especially on a fast moving title).

Terrible, terrible customer service.

There's nothing wrong with the resale (secondary) market either.

I just finished watching The Train, and I loved it. This movie has a perfect balance of physical action thrills and cerebral gravitas. My collection of Burt Lancaster films on Blu-ray has another milestone title.

Paul Scofield also starred in the brilliant 1994 Best Picture nominee, Quiz Show, and it occurs to me that this would make for another good Twilight Time title.

Sorry you've had bad luck with them but so far I've had no problems. Just placed an order for 4 TT titles, 3 were preorders. Rather than making me wait for the lone stock title to save them shipping, they went ahead and shipped it right away, the day after I ordered. That's twice they've done that now. I appreciated that. SAE never does that and on top of that they are much slower to ship stock items. The only thing I wish is that they didn't charge me sales tax, but at least they have sales sometimes.

SO what's the scoop between the two. DVDBeaver's review says that skin tones are more natural and that the "yellow tint" is gone with the TT release, and DVDTalk's review brings up the lack of "yellow tint" again. Then there's the Caps-A-Holic comparison showing that there is NO difference in color or anything, except for miniscule difference in grain appearance from the encode being different (neither being better than the other).

I was not planning to pick this one up as I own the UK release, but I bit JUST TO SEE HOW MUCH BETTER THE AUDIO MIX IS. And the extras.

the TT audio is proper 5.1 for a start, the old UK disc had dialog coming from all 3 front channels and the new UK disc dropped the 5.1 track. Colour wise, both discs are the same.

The audio is much improved, but only if you got one of the UK versions that doesn't have DTS-HD MA, presumably.

(Edit: There obviously is a lot of disinformation about the UK audio track, check your disc to see what's actually on the copy you have, the case artwork may not even have it right (as is the case with my copy).)

And yes, it's a pretty good transfer. You won't be disappointed.
