Yeah I'm just curious for the complainers. Would you have rather Shout turned down that deal from Warner Brothers and not have the theatrical cut released at all? People would have complained then too. Can't win. And I can't really understand the whining considering it will likely be cheaper eventually anyways.

I remember buying a HELLRAISER limited edition laserdisc set (only 2,500 made) with extra features, signed/numbered by Clive Barker, included the movie script, for $99 back in the day. You kids got it easy.

I'm in for the regular version. I would be too tempted to sell the limited one on eBay later and I really just want the movie itself.

If you dont like the price just dont buy it, but quit bellyaching about things you dont know anything about. They are not Twilight Time and no one is being forced to buy it. You can pass on it , but the set is going to be the best ever released for this movie

I stated that they are feeding into the limited edition premium price model. What exactly did I say that was incorrect? Regardless if Warner or whoever made that decision that is exactly what the LE is. And while I suppose it is possible that whatever deal they made with Warner necessitated the $80 cost of this set, I stand by my statement that the Cannibal Holocaust set is of comparable quality and available for less than a third of the cost of the Nightbreed LE.

No.....we just think 80 dollars is still to much to pay for the set, despite whatever deals or digging or splicing they had to do.

oh brother !! Youre comparing two totally different releases.
Cannibal Holocaust is a different movie release, without Grindhouse dealing with Warner or immense costs to restore it like the cabal cut
You are whining about the LE edition's cost and it has been clearly stated why..and you still havent got a clue - they are not feeding into it, they had to agree to it so they could release it for their fans
Hello ??

Of course they give the better cover art to the ****ing 80 dollar version. Bunch of criminals!

Not worth 80 dollars in the slightest.

Scream Factory takes far too much crap...thank God they're in the game. We wouldn't be getting so many of these films otherwise. If you don't want to pay $80, wait for it to show up on other sites...Amazon has 10% or 25% discounts on upcoming Scream titles, while places like Family Video and Blowitoutahere are usually even cheaper (Blow looks to usually be about 37% off....so that's about $50 plus shipping, even less with one of their frequent coupons!)

The $80 is a premium price direct from their site that gets you the set 2 weeks early and with an exclusive poster. I'm sure people will still complain paying the discounted price on other sites. It's obvious that a lot of care is going into this.

Thanks, Cliff and Co., for all the hard work!

Hello ??
I never said that anyone should avoid this set or feel bad for purchasing it. If it is available for a better price through Amazon or another retailer I will purchase the LE. If not then I will purchase the standard release. Not trying to pick a fight with anyone here. Just giving my opinion that the current price is high.

So then don't pay for it, wait for a lower price, or go for the cheaper Director's Cut only option. No need for the whining and trashing of Shout Factory when they are the reason we are even getting this film on Blu-ray in October.

I would rather that they include the bonus content disc in the standard edition rather than a useless DVD of the same content that's on the blu-ray disc.

Then go ahead and charge $80 for the "limited edition" package with the theatrical cut. I don't care. I already have the theatrical cut on DVD and don't like the movie enough to justify a $50 premium just to get it on blu-ray.

I'm not complaining about the price, since I'm sure it will be less through other retailers, but to throw some support to the "complainers," look at the limited edition set Mondo Vision just offered for Possession. Being one of the most lavishly designed box sets I've ever seen, $65 was a DEAL. Comparatively, the transfers on Scream are lesser in quality. Just saying.

Nightbreed is owned by Morgan Creek. WB just distributed the film on DVD a while back, they probably do not have rights any longer. MC is currently with Universal.

I like Night Breed as much as any horror fan but I've got better things to spend $80 bucks on... Like other Scream Factory discs.

Do we think this will be on Amazon.com?
Living in Australia, I'd love to buy the film but I can't see a way to.

The cabal footage is Morgan Creek, the Theatrical Cut is still Warner Bros.

$80 is a joke even if it's signed by the entire cast.

It will be. They mentioned on Facebook that Amazon preorder links would probably go live next week.

You all would have been rioting in the streets if you had collected laserdiscs back in the day.
