Because that's an incredibly low figure. They're a business and they've got to still make money. The £25 was an insanely low price for free shipping with Amazon UK.

Even if you don't buy a lot consolidating some pre-orders and catalogue titles would easily get you there and essentially if you're going to, say for example, make two orders of $50 in the space of a month you may as well make 1 $125 order and get the free shipping. You'll actually end up spending less as the shipping would probably exceed $25 for 2 $50 orders (at least in NZ it would) and so that extra $25 you'd have spent on titles is actually a bonus and anything you buy with it are essentially freebies.

It is a low figure, that's why it was awesome. It's probably for the best though, I spent more there than I normally would have while it was active.

I don't buy a lot of blurays (or media in general), I (try to) keep it to the very bare minimum because I went crazy with DVDs and haven't even watched half of them, so I'm not making the same mistake with this. But yeah, I've only made three Amazon purchases this year for a total of 5 blu-rays, I generally wait until they're on special before buying so I don't do pre-orders. But hey, it just means I won't spend as much, but I just wanted to say I'd rather have lower per item shipping because that would benefit me more.

Thought I would log into Amazon and just take a gander at my shipping progress..

DHL! It's already in NZ and been handed over to the Rural Post! I should get in on Monday (If the postie hasn't taken an early holiday). Stoked this free shipping upgraded me to DHL... I assume due to the size of the box (9 titles)

One single title was shipped earlier (Vincent Price Collection), but is still in USA (iParcel).

Why don't you guys buy off eBay? It works out a lot cheaper than Amazon.

Maybe if you could find a seller who had multiple titles you want, to save on shipping.. but no, based off my own experience, buying on Ebay is certainly not cheaper due to the various shipping prices people offer (or not at all).

Exactly. That's what I do. Amazon charges about 16-20 dollars for shipping, when you can find shipping for around 5 dollars on eBay. I use the internet a lot for my purchases, especially considering how ridiculously overpriced things are in Australia right now.

Who wants UK DVDs/Blus though? Most of the time I find their cover art is awful.

Which eBay stores offer combined shipping that you use? This sounds like a game changer to me.
