that was very pc of you - I would have said something other than "interesting". I guess depending on the shots, they could film around Ford which would only give a slight delay and what's 2 weeks really? It isn't like this would be the first film to be finished just before it was released. Hell, Lucas was still recording dialogue after A New Hope was released.

Darth Maul was such a wasted opportunity.
As awesome as Christopher Lee was a Count Dooku, I think that Maul should've been the main Sith villain alongside Palpatine in the PT. Ah well what's done is done. At least he was brought back in The Clone Wars cartoon series. ![]() |

- he's the last Jedi and he knows there are Sith who are still after him and that would endanger his family. - he now understands a fuller history of the Jedi (the prequels) and realizes that everything the Jedi did was wrong and that Yoda was actually an incompetent fool. He's in hiding because he doesn't want to do any more damage as a Jedi. - as I've previously suggested numerous times, at the end of VI, the general populace discovers he was Vader's son and blames him for the years of war and death. If they find him, he'll be tried for treason and for terrorism. - he's in hiding because he's been tasked (or he tasked himself) with watching over someone the same way that Obi-wan watched over Luke. |

I never really thought about what it would be like for Luke and Leia once people found out that Vader was their father. It would be like finding out that Hitler had children, not sure people would be so forgiving.

that doesnt count because Jango Fett was bad-ass and the clone troopers were generic boring cgi meh characters.

Don't totally buy that though as he knew Vader was his father and in the end he turned on the Emperor and the Sith. The good in him untimately saved him so I don't see Luke bing that scared of it. It is possible - he found himself doing un-Jedi like things over the years and went into hiding - but to just say that in this movie comes off as hokey to me. Without seeing the fall, it seems too fake.

There was a lot of wasted potential with the villains in the PT. Maul has like five lines and all his screentime consists of standing around and looking cool or fighting. Dooku is introduced in the last 20 minutes of AOTC and dies in the first 10 of ROTS. Grievous felt like he came out of nowhere in ROTS and died halfway in, while being a completely different kind of character from the badass the cartoon made him out to be.
I have to agree with the people that said Jango was the only "disposable villain" that left them satisfied. In addition to the cool factor he gets a decent amount of dialogue, is of some importance to the plot and gets to live for most of the movie. |

Here's to hoping Episode VII shows a flashback of Boba Fett flying out of the Sarlac Pit after Luke and company take off. That's an easy fix to a huge mistake. |
