I scrolled through that list quickly, but not even one nomination for The Walking Dead?

It may have gotten some technical or makeup nominations (I only looked at the acting and best show noms), but it has never been the type of show that gets critical acclaim. It's a show like NCIS in that it's extremely popular but ignored by the major shows at award time.

Edit: Just checked and The Walking Dead got nominations for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series and Outstanding Special and Visual Effects in a Supporting Role.

Yeah but HBO cheekily put it as miniseries. The skeptic in me thinks the reason why is this: if they'd put True Detective as miniseries and Treme as regular series (a more accurate placing, IMO), only TD would win. This way round, TD may beat Breaking Bad and Treme might get miniseries, so they can potentially double the awards they get...

It wasn't HBO's choice to put Treme in the miniseries category. The final season was only 5 episodes, and Emmy rules state that to be eligible for the Best Drama category a show must have a minimum of 6 episodes, so the only option was to place it in the miniseries category.

Ah I didn't know that! I take back my slandering of HBO!

I think Cranston may get Best Actor, but other Breaking Bad contenders will lose out. Aaron Paul deserves to win, but I can't see him beating Dinklage (although I'll happily be proved wrong). McConaughey might just beat Cranston - I don't think Harrelson will. Anna Gunn is the only one I'd put any money on winning (based on her contenders).

I think if Best Drama goes to True Detective, Best Actor would go to Cranston, and vice versa (i.e., if Best Drama goes to Breaking Bad, Best Actor goes to McConaughey).

I see, thanks, yet reality shows which are all garbage, get their own categories.

Hannibal ignored again. Oh well. Having a third season is better than an award.

Happy for Lena Headey. Glad they nom'd her instead of Clarke. Last year's nom should have went to Michelle Fairley. Still bitter about it.

+1 on Hannibal. Too graphic for Emmy voters maybe? Too much love for Downton Abbey.

In the comedy categories, I was hoping The Mindy Project would make the cut. Really enjoyed last season.

Family Guy or American Dad in the animated program would have been great but good to see Bob's Burgers nominated.

The Walking Dead has horrible writing and average acting. It doesn't Deserve anything besides technical nods.

Seriously. I like the show but outside of technical noms the show doesn't deserve anything else.
