I would rate it an 8, I can't say it is up there with Arnie's best.

Nope, not up there with Arnie's best at all. But then again, which action movies are? Certainly not the tealified, shaky-cam, CGI bloody, PG-13 crap Hollywood has spewed out for the past 12 years. That's for sure

Two hundred and twenty minutes of this movie's ugly is something I'd never want to sit through.

That looks awesome, Germany gets the best steelbooks! It looks almost identical to the last stand steelbook, I like it.

Kinda OT, but I just wanna point out something. Back in 2008 when Sly was in talks to create a movie that would be "a homecoming of tough guys" (ie: The Expendables), I was so happy to hear that I'd finally get some 80's action movie throwbacks (being born in '84 meant never getting the chance to see the classics in theaters).

However, as EX1 and 2 have shown, as well as the trailer and rating for the upcoming part 3, it's quite clear that that franchise is not what I was expecting. I figured there'd be a great trilogy outta this idea, but I was only half right. I DID get my 80's action movie throwback trilogy. It just wasn't the Expendables trilogy. It was:

Punisher: War Zone
Dredd 3D
Sabotage

Pretty good movie, I will be picking this up. I thought it was better than The Last Stand. Johnny Knoxville's character in The Last Stand really brought down that movie.

I missed this in theaters. Seems to have come and gone quicker than normal. Worth a blind buy?

A lot of people didn't like it due to the excessive use of violence for no apparent reason. I did enjoy it and it is a very different role for Arnold, a much darker film. I would say give it a rent before buying.

I finished watching the film and the alternate endings last night. The original ending
[Show spoiler](Alternate ending #1) seemed like a much better ending though it was a bleak ending it showed how far Breacher would go to kill the men who killed his family. The 8 shots that killed Breacher from the DEA agent was a bit much though. I can see why it tested negatively, the ending we got in the finished film was more satisfying to see Breacher go to Mexico and kill the scum.

I did not like it for a couple of reasons the characters in it were trash that you did not care for, the acting was poor, no story and the violence was there to make up for everything else in the movie.

I saw this at a preview screening in June 2013, for what I believe was the second version before additional re-shoots and re-edits.
Finally saw the theatrical version last night and realized there seem to be a bunch of scenes missing.
In the screening I saw,
[Show spoiler] if I recall correctly, Breacher kills Harold Perrineau`s and Olivia Williams`characters!? Also the ASAP Rocky song ****in Problems, which played at the strip club scene and fit so perfectly is unfortunately missing from the final theatrical version. Can`t recall any other changes, but I guess Breacher killing the police detectives tested negative as well. Since that entire portion was cut, the movie just feels like its missing these parts! So I`m curious what the first intended ending was? You`re saying Breacher gets shot be DEA agents?
