I would wager that most packages are damaged before they reach the local post office. Most packages will go through several distribution hubs, where they will unloaded from trucks, sorted, and then reloaded onto a different truck by workers who handle thousands of packages per day. They're going to thrown around, stacked, dropped into large mail bags, jammed into trucks, and subject to other forms of abuse.

It should be the responsibility of sellers to package items they sell in a way that will minimize damage from the shippers they use. I seldom buy anything from Amazon because their packaging is so haphazard that, more often than not, things arrive at my home with some amount of damage.

Regarding all this discussion of where to order from: If you're ordering an expensive, irreplaceable, Limited Edition Blu-ray, why the Hell would you buy it from a place called "Blowitouttahere"? It's like a stone's throw away from "Discount Bob's used RV's" ...

Has blowitouttahere been proven to not be reliable for stock? I discovered them earlier this year and have order multiple things from them and I have had nothing but a flawless experience with them so far, most of which has been for SF releases. Now I haven't purchased anything "limited" from them but still.

Got my refund from Shout as well today. As soon as it clears my account im gonna use it to order what I can of the August Scream Factory titles. Excluding Without Warning which I already have ordered.

My amazon pre-order for the limited edition also says "not yet shipped" even though when I first pre-ordered it, it was listed as "pre-ordered." Also the LE no longer shows up on amazon when you search for it and there is no longer a product page for it even if you try to click on the title from your order summary page.

Does this mean amazon's stock has already sold out? Did I get my pre-order in on time? What the heck?

When they did that the site was extremely slow to load though. Site seems to be running perfectly fine so I would assume it means they are sold out which makes sense considering that was the last place for international buyers to pick one up.
