The prices too have dropped more quickly than DVD did. I think a longer/stronger format war might have contributed. Plus take into account inflation and the devaluing of the dollar... BD is way ahead of where DVD was. And yet I don't think it will ever achieve the success DVD has. But it will be big in time.
