Are you sure there is a way for this to kick in after my other warranty runs out, so that it's like having 5 or 6 years of protection? I don't want to buy a second warranty only to have the time frame that it's good for be 1/2 way or 2/3 of the way sed up (depending on if I pick the 4 or 3 year plan) while my Best Buy warranty is in effect.
I shouldn't have said 'beyond' the other warranty. SquareTrade warranties all start at the date of purchase. My 3-year plan is 2 years beyond the Samsung coverage. You're better off to stick with Best Buy and consider adding to that. It just isn't safe to assume that nothing will happen after the first year, especially with Plasmas.

My warranty is good for 2 years. Also, while it would suck spending a lot of money on a repair if something does happen after the two year mark, my concern is less so the money and more so the availability of parts for these plasmas that are being discontinued. If the parts end up not being available, then we are screwed either way. A warranty won't make unavailable parts magically appear.
