Who owns the rights to Cat's Eye in the states? I just noticed that a region-free Blu hit in Italy in May. That is Scream Factory material if I've ever seen it.

I think you're thinking of the Class of 1999 followups. Class of 1984 has been with Anchor Bay for nearly a decade.

What's keeping them from releasing it? It's long overdue!

I thought it was StudioCanal, like The Wicker Man.

They'll be 10,000 copies of Nightbreed now.

I'm curious to see the reaction to that.

***NIGHTBREED: LIMITED EDITION - Now 10,000 UNITS***

Hello all! We have some news today regarding our NIGHTBREED: THE DIRECTORS CUT (LIMITED EDITION) release that we hope will make many of you happy.

To say that we were caught by surprise over the frenzied demand for it would be an understatement. Preorders across the board went so quick that we almost had to post soon that we were sold out of the original 5,000 units. We sensed your concerns that would happen too.

We want to give as many fans of Clive Barker’s exceptional film the opportunity to purchase the set and so we went back to Warner Bros (since they have the rights to theatrical cut) and explained the situation. They graciously understood and so we can now officially tell you that we have expanded the number of units for the LIMITED EDITION SET to 10,000 total--which will all be numbered. Once they are sold out though, that will be it.

We are taking pre-orders again on our site at http://www.shoutfactory.com/product/...deluxe-edition and they should also be available soon to pre-order on other fine online retailers. If you have questions about your order from our site, please contact our customer service at shoutfactorycs@owd.com

10,000 x $80>5,000 x $80.

Makes sense to me.

I caught that too. That probably irks me as much as the "they really care about us fans." Because of course it's nice that more people get to own the thing, but there's also aloooot of money that is now being made.

Now that Scream will (eventually) be doubling their profit, perhaps they will use some of these additional funds to undertake a full restoration of the missing audio? Doubtful.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the third disc of extras become a DVD now to save costs.

Is it known what the top seller for Scream Factory has been up to this point, and how many copies of that title were sold?

Horrible news for the scalpers "collectors," but pretty much non-news to great news for everyone else.

The go-to answer is usually The Fog, Halloween II and Halloween III in no particular order. Scream Factory has never revealed any specifics on how many units they've sold.

10,000 may be a little high. I think around 7,500 - 8,000 would have been a better number. But, I like to think that more copies available = more profit = more to go towards getting more titles released. I'm glad that people who want the release can now more easily get it.

Do Shout! care enough about their fans to lower the LE to a more reason and respectable price?
$45 say?.......Not sure they care that much

True. However, I did notice the image of the limited edition now says down the spine bluray not dvd anymore on their latest Facebook announcement of the additional copies.
