Completely agree. The UK BD is particularly hopeless as it does NOT have lossless audio. Although also from Fox the French release does though, so looks like Fox just shafted British consumers.

Does anyone know where the database got the 137 min. runtime? It doesn't match the Criterion (Gilliam cut) or Universal (US cut), or any of the European blus to date. Is there a chance this is the European theatrical cut?

The finish is almost satin like again. There is a sheen to it. Its like one layer of gloss so satin finish sounds about right. Its more shinier than a matte finish.

This arrived today, and had a little scuff mark on top of the steelbook. I have to question this new AmazonUK packaging as the plastic sheet inside the box doesn't secure the steelbook. All 4 of these Fox steelbooks arrived today and the other 3 were fine. But all of them were loos in the box. I do like AmazonUK placing all four boxes in one larger box, as that can only help.
Never had a problem with the other type of steelbook packaging.

It still amazes me how some genius at Fox decided it was okay to release this (or any) blu-ray with 2.0 lossy stereo audio.. what a load of crap!

This is why I opted for the US Criterion release. I think I am done with steelbooks that use old transfers when a new one is available.

Yep very strange indeed especially when the rest of Europe got lossless! I went for the French digibook myself which is very nice indeed.

I would. Its not cheap and the book itself is in French of course but the pictures are nice and the digibook is very nice of course! Goes with the Blue Velvet digibook very nicely too.
