OK, I have a couple questions - if anyone knows, let us know.

Has Bungie said what the max level of your character will be in the final retail version?

How exactly do you join a faction like the Future War cultists? When I hit the tower after a mission, I was invited to join one, but had no idea what I did to get that?

Just confirming what I believe I know: in your roster, the right column is just people you played near or came across during your gameplay or in Tower?

What are these green beacons? I've gone through the first three missions and just playing as if a regular shooter, found a few loot boxes after killing a hidden room full of Acolytes. And only found out about spinmetal by bumping into it.

I really hope that bungie takes off the level 8 cap. Level 8 was the highest we got in the alpha. I thought that we were going to get a level 20 cap for this beta.

I wonder if Bungie will attempt to balance the mp this once the game is released.

Since the game has mmo elements in it with rare/epic weapon drops via raids, I can already foresee that some mp squads will be maxed out with these rare/epic items. Those items will give them quite the upper hand over lower levels.

1.) Graphically, I'd say it's looks like a polished PS3 game. It's not going to blow you away by any means but considering that it's a cross-gen MMO-type game, it's well within what I would consider the "good enough" threshold.

5.) Leveling up seems to happen at a reasonable click. I managed to reach level 4 after only a couple of hours.

6.) The "speeder bike" vehicles are cool but I want to be able to engage enemies while riding it. Is there not a way to do this?

7.) The character creation isn't as robust as I had hoped. It's definitely no Elder Scrolls.

8.) Your "Ghost" companion is cool but I wish it was more like the "OWL" in Killzone where it can assist you during combat.

9.) Just like in Halo, the melee attack is way too strong IMO as is the hand gun.

10.) Game is more challenging than I expected. I died a lot.


So far my impression is that the game is GOOD, if a little underwhelming. I'm not sure what I expected but at this point, everything about the game feels a little too "been there done that." However I'm not giving up on the game. I think the story is interesting and I want to explore more areas. However based on the parts of the game that I've played so far, I would rate it somewhere in the neighborhood of 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

I think it looks a lot better than the PS3 version, for example the excellent sky boxes on PS4, the lighting, the textures etc.



Agree with points 2 and 3.

Loot is scarce in this game, and you don't really get anything that worthwhile from them in my experience.

Leveling up is still pretty quick, just doing the first 3 story quests got me up to lvl 5 and about an hour in Free Roam got me to lvl 7. Disappointing that it's still capped at 8.

I'm not sure what the full game will be like, but I imagine the further you get in the game you can start upgrading your speeder, like in the multiplayer where the speeder has blasters on it.

Bring up your ghost, when roaming. There will be white diamonds on your screen, with a distance on how far you are from that beacon. Go to one of these beacons, and press/hold It will give a mission or additional missions to preform in that area... Didnt find out about the Ghost showing location, until i was about to hope off last nite...

Agreed. Need to do something. It's not fair at all. A few hits with some of these weapons and that's it.

I tried to play now and the game was slow and laggy as hell. I guess I'll try later tonight
