Its disappointing that you cant use the touchpad in the map area. You have this cursor that it would seem obvious to use it for but you are limited to just the analog stick and not even the right one, which I instinctively try to use

My stupid question of the day. I was in the tower wandering around kicking the soccer ball to pass the time when a message came across my screen saying a player has joined my fireteam. I have no idea what that is so I left yhe fireteam. I was about to exit the game anyway and go to bed.

I seem to always get hulk smashed by Titans in Crucible matches, they seem to be able to pull out the smash much quicker than it takes for my Warlock to throw the nova bomb.

Just means he joined your "squad". When you join or are in a fireteam, you guys play together essentially.

Love the Beta, just wish there was more content. So far it's a polished alpha, which is fine but I just want to play the game

I've maxed out my hunter and titan, maybe i'll go to warlock now, we'll see.

I have finally found an RPG that I enjoy. Never thought I would see the day.

I don't consider this an RPG at all. You really don't have a major say in your upgrades. Its pretty much: unlock or maybe swap an unlock.


Anyone else miss the line, 'that Wizard came from the Moon!!!'? Cheesy, but fun! Overall, like the changes to Ghost's voice and tone. MP does nothing new, and I don't see myself playing that too much. Single player stuff is fun though

I consider it an FPS with strong RPG elements. A lot stronger then most other FPS games.

The loot, the gear, the strikes, that are like "instances" just to name a few, the tower, the hitpoints.

If you tell someone who hasn't played this game that it's only an FPS, they will be surprised. Also looks like there might be some PVP later on? Only going on what's on bungie.net

As you can tell, my RPG qualifications are limited.

And the golden gun animation is way too long for a quick strike... like the hulk smash.

Am I missing something or was multiplayer matches omitted from the beta? Anyway, game is really good. I'm surprised by how additive it became. I reached lvl 8 in 2 days, but had couldn't play on Sat or Sun because I was traveling. I was originally on the fence, but I'll be picking this up now.

PvP is there its called the Crucible. You can find it to the right of Earth from the Select Location screen.

Yes level 8 is max, all you can do now is collect.

Tip to those who are going to work on a second character. Put your best weapons from your maxed out character into your vault then you can use them with your new level 1 character. On the flip side, with your new character don't decode the engrams you find, put them into your vault and then retrieve and decode with your maxed out character as your maxed out character will get better decoded items which you can then put into the vault to use with the other guy.
