ONLY if they pay $99 a year for Amazon Prime. Plus RightStuf usually ships out pre-orders weeks before the release, so you could have it in your hands before anyone else.

Yeah in that case you are correct then RS is cheaper. Although since this is over $35 you still get free shipping, and while it may not be 2 day it is free.

Are they going to release a big box set with all seasons eventually? Or is it only going to be these smaller limited edition sets? As much as I love Sailor Moon i think I might wait until then (I just hope it doesnt take years).

Its just weird that this first set ends at 23 (just before Nephrite dies?), even if it was at least the full season of 45 episodes so it was officially 'season 1'. I mean how many sets are we talking here? 12?

5 seasons, so it would be 10 sets.

So based on that bit of information, and Viz's track record, about how many sets do you think we will see a year? I was hoping for at least 3. If we do get one every 4 months, this is what the schedule might look like.

I think the releases will happen sooner than that. Try every 2 to 3 months tops between sets. At least that is my guess. The Ranma sets follow that pattern and I would expect nothing different for Sailor Moon. The fact that Part 2 of each season will be able to fit inside the set 1 packaging also makes me think some might end up released simultaneously depending upon how quickly the dub is done. The biggest reason it might take longer, as you have detailed above, is if they decide they need more time for the dubbing process.

I hope your right! Every 3 months would give us 4 sets a year, and I would be very pleased with that! At that rate it will just take us quite a while before we get to Crystal, but who knows they might release that simultaneously with the classic series like you mentioned. I was also hoping they might release the movies individually to go with their corresponding season.
