The only good moments of that film was the stuff in space.

Everything else... especially the Villain and Monsturd: The Yellow Fear Monster was horribad.

Wow, I just noticed, this used to be under 2 hundred now it's nearly near 3? A hundred dollars per season is way too much! Not a bad idea to see the UV copy but digital download codes can't be sold on ebay, I tried once not knowing it was against their terms and conditions and they took my auction down... I guess I could try to sell it somewhere else but where? I think a lot of people on here like owning the physical copy, no? hm...

I'm really anxious to see what the final packaging looks like and what bonus features we will be getting.

Those people are now screwed since they missed the pre-order price, and will have to pay more later, when it costs even more money. Thus making it even harder to save up for it.
Hate to say it so bluntly, but, well, welcome to life - at least in terms of collectable items/physical media/etc.

That said, in cases like that - patience is usually best. Yes this is labeled "limited edition" but I'm doubting it will be that limited - the Chucky set says that and it's still widely available. I think it's just more of a marketing thing than anything else, or a technicality due to contractual arrangements (they might not have the HD rights in perpetuity for everything, etc. - even if they have it for a decade or more). In any case, I don't think anyone is going to have a hard time buying this for a few years to come.

If you wait a year or two, you'll likely be able to buy it less than those of us who preorder and get at whatever release day price is (I still am betting on somewhere around $150) - just like every other Blu-ray set like this out there. When I see what folks paid for the Star Trek TOS sets, compared to the $60 bucks I paid for all three in one package a few months ago, I cringe. The price will go down, eventually - that's why I've also waited out the Trek TNG sets - since we knew they were doing all 7 no matter what (no danger of them stopping due to poor sales) and the fact that earlier seasons aren't something I'm going to re-watch more than once, I'm not going to pay more than $35/season for them, and I'm sure at some point they will be down that low or even further.

If you can't afford it now, it just may take some patience is all. That said, it's also four months away - I'm willing to bet if you pruned out some Blu's you don't watch, or got rid of some other crap laying around that you don't want and eBay it - if it was a priority, you could figure it out. But it's not about being "screwed" - it's about decisions/priorities, tough ones that everyone has to make.

LOL.

It's funny, if we really do get UV codes - I do wonder what they will go for. I actually register a lot of mine, but on this one I'm kind of iffy...it will wholly depend on what they end up going for, to be honest. I actually can see folks spending $50 for one - and while I am super-excited for the Blu's, I doubt I'd ever actually watch most of them using UV - so I really wouldn't blink twice at selling it if it was at that price.

I would probably wait for the price to be reasonable enough for me. Anyway, this TV show is not a "watch now" kind of TV show for me.

I have seen it probably close to a hundred times seeing as I watched it several times a week. I have never seen this show, and it would be great to watch with my father, but as someone who has never seen it I just don't know if I can justify the cost (which is fair in my opinion).
Watch this :

You realize theres still 4 more months to save up. I've been putting away $25 from every pay check i get since January when they announced the set was coming out. Now i'm at almost $400, and theres 4 more months left! So by the time the set comes out ill have over $500 saved up. I didn't hesitate on when it would be coming out I just started saving up. So i'm not apologizing to the people who are complaining about the price when they had since January to save up.

Not to mention, it's not a law that you have to get it on release day. What's another month or two or three? etc... It's not realistic for everyone to get this set on Day 1.

I'm really mystified by the angst over the pricing. It's like some guys have no concept of how amazon pre-order pricing works.

For one thing, the price could change a half dozen times between now and November. It was pretty silly when people were flipping out about paying $188 bucks...and they're now going ballistic over $270.00. Do we have to go through this every time amazon changes the price?

Second, and more importantly, you do NOT have to know you will have the cash on release day before you pre-order. Just pre-order it. Simple. If you get to November and you don't have the money then you can just cancel your frikkin' order . Pre-order now...if the price goes up, your lower pre-order price is guaranteed. If you still can't afford it, just cancel your order.

People are wasting a lot of effort trying to second guess what the price is going to be and it's a fruitless pursuit. Pre-ordering guarantees that you get the lowest price posted between now and November. If you are still unhappy with the price three and half months from now then hit the "cancel" button. It's a no-risk proposition.

Agreed. I don't understand why some people don't get this concept either.

Best Buy recently listed it for full retail, and since Amazon normally just follows what Best Buy does, they raised the price.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/batman-c...ries&lp=1&cp=1

But don't worry, BB will lower their price by release day and Amazon will follow them again.

YES!!!!!

The first photos from SDCC are in for the toys at least - the 6" Batman '66 line is not over!

They showed:

Surf's Up Joker

It looks like some Batcave accessory pack (bat computer, bat phone, a few other doodads including a Bruce Wayne head)

And.....

BATGIRL!!

And that's just preview night.
