Well, if you wait until the night before you may be able to place an order for in store pickup, then you can at least look at it when you pick it up and swap it out (if there's any left) for a better one if it's damaged or something.

I'll just do what I always do: stroll into my local store on release day, pick up a nice minty copy and head to the check out line.
If I miss out, well it wouldn't be the first time...and I'm quite sure it won't be the last.

I like this attitude. In the grand scheme of things, getting a Steelbook is fun, but not getting one shouldn't make you all bent out of shape.
