Robocop 3. Cause it was in the trilogy set. Hates a strong term, but I cannot watch it just awful.

If you just want to test your speakers though, rather than buying something that you hate, why not rent? Les Mis isn't something that's obscure and impossible to find.

Plus, with the $$ you save on a rental, you could put that towards something you actually enjoy.

I really didn't like Man of Steel but I bought it to give it another chance and for PQ/AQ reasons.

It is possible, when that movie is included in a box with other movies you like, and you can't buy them in stand-alone versions!
(or it is much cheaper to buy the box, than the standalone versions of the films you like)

I did that with Blade 3, but also got the BD for free, counting the Dark Knight movie cash. Funny thing happened just this week. I finally watched that BD (it had sat open for 2 years on my shelf) and really enjoyed it. Sure some parts are just stupid and suck, but some parts are really cool too. Didn't hate it nearly as much as I recall, and it still is a fraction of as good as the first 2 films, but was a fun revisit and not a waste of shelf space. I also just got Burton's Planet of the Apes BD in a similar deal with Dawn cash, I only paid tax in the end.

Oh yeah, due to boxsets I also have Indiana Jones and the aliens. I think I hate that one, really hated everything except the warehouse opening on first (and only) viewing. Someday I'll give it another try, maybe I'll see it differently like Blade trey.

The only way I see this happening is buying movies I didn't particularly love but getting it for other reasons like the film's importance or by completing a series. The "good to have" category. It may not be an absolute favorite as it stands, but has the potential because perhaps your first impressions weren't under the best circumstances.

Maybe someone who buys Cars because it's the only Pixar movies they're "missing," which describes me at the moment. I never saw it to hate it, but yeah.

There aren't movies I hate really. I usually find some value in it or give it a chance sometime later. I'm quicker to blame myself for not getting it than to say I hate it.

Thor 2, movie sucked big time in my opinion - though my collection would be incomplete without it..

I think Avatar is a giant turd of a movie. It's been years since I first watched it, and I have yet to purchase it. However I've heard time and time again how great the 3D effects were for the film, so I plan on purchasing it (The 3d version) when I can find it for around $15. Who knows, by that point enough time will have passed and if the 3D is as Amazing as many people state, maybe I won't hate it anymore.

I don't buy movies I hate, even if they have excellent PQ/AQ, there's plenty of great examples that can be used for that.

There are films part of a set that I wouldn't buy on their own (like Alien 3, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, the Zombie Halloween movies on the upcoming set) but even then hate is a strong word. I reserve that for the likes of Spice World.

Yeah- this one. I don't hate it per se, but I have no memory of anything about it. I still haven't watched the BD. There is so much other amazing material in the set, that there's no rush to get to a film I'm not interested in re-watching.

That's a good one. I didn't hate Avatar but I didn't particularly care for it either but if I ever move to a projector (and bother buying 3D glasses) I would be seriously tempted to look around for a used copy.

Exactly. Except for me it was The Dark Knight Rises.

No kidding. Like someone said earlier, how hard is it to find a movie you enjoy that has 7.1 audio? And I agree completely, if you're just looking to test your system and you hate the movie anyway, why on Earth would you buy the movie? Rent it for a couple dollars.

People really need to screw their heads on. I'm seeing more threads like this that are so ridiculous that I can't even tell if they're real sometimes. I swear there's something in the water around here.
