I suppose this question works for everyone. Of the Criterion blus that you own, what % have you watched?
I now have 57 Criterion Collection Blu-rays. Only 3 are unwatched (about 5%). I counted the Zatoichi set as 1 (watched).
Also, I no longer buy DVDs, but I have 61 Criterion DVDs and 100% are watched.

I've got 189 Criterion movies (135 Criterion SKU's) in my Blu-ray collection right now.

61 of these movies are in my unwatched stack, mainly the Zatoichi set, the David Lean/Noel Coward set, the Jacques Demy set, and the John Cassavetes set.

I've only got a handful of single-disc Criterion titles that are still unwatched, and I've already seen most of them before by way of the DVD editions before I upgraded them.

I'm not a "collect all Criterion" type, though. In fact, the Criterion titles that I own constitute pretty much all of the existing Criterion Blu-rays that I feel a need to own. I always seem to discover previously-unfamiliar directors, though, so I'm sure that I'll keep delving into the past catalogue from time to time.

I wouldn't contemplate owning the entire catalogue as many are not my cup of tea. I watch them all and decide what to collect.

I've watched all the ones I own, 98% were bought after watching them beforehand and 1/2 were blind buys.

I wouldn't be mad at a whole Nicholson set that included Goin South. That film is hilarious

It's a piece of crap (it's available on YouTube), but it's still better than either of the two more recent FF films.

Not including the 6 that I bought this month during the sale, I've watched 68% of them. I am usually more excited to watch CC titles because of the discussions here. I guess relative to others, this is a bit low... and for me, surprising.

I've watched 70 CC films since last year mid-September - obviously, many of those were borrowed or streamed.

I've watched probably 70-75% of my Criterions. Catching up is a neverending process - it seems like right when I'm just about caught up, another sale occurs, or I'll discover another director and start delving into his/her films, etc.

I don't buy all the Criterions, I only buy those that interest me. The good news is that my ongoing list of unbought Criterions to catch up on during sales is down to only 6. The "bad" news is that I do add titles to this list as I discover another director's films... as I said, it's a neverending process!!!

I should add that the above predicament, if one might call it that, is the big reason why the only two Criterion Blu-rays that I plan to purchase between now and November are The Innocents and The Vanishing. I might be caught up by then.

Thankfully, now that most of the Criterion titles are being issued in plastic cases again, I don't have a sense of emergency to purchase them for fear of a digipak case being damaged. I can bide my time purchasing the Criterions that come in the plastic cases.

I've got 254 Criterions, across Blu-ray and DVD. I've watched them all, bar The Big Chill, which only arrived this week and the remaining films in the Demy box-set.

Why all the hate for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button?

I really love it - it has great acting, mysterious and fresh story, great soundtrack, emotion, depth and brilliant character development... and Cate Blanchett!

It's not perfect but I think its pretty damn good! Just wish Criterion Bluray didn't have that BLUE CASE UGH!

I would expect Volume 2 to be announced September 15th as part of Criterion's December slate. I'm hoping to hear an announcement for the second volume of MoC's version sometime in the next 2 - 4 weeks; last year's releases were nearly identical in content and I'm guessing this year's will be as well. If you don't already know, the list of potential titles is here.

I'm not seeming hate so much as disinterest and honestly, I can kind of relate.

No kind of about it, actually. I love David Fincher and Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett but for some reason this one has yet to make it from shelf to player. Well, it made it once and I was barely past the credits before deciding 'meh, not tonight' and going with something else.

The problem is that it's essentially a much more dull telling of the Forrest Gump story. It also has the problem of Brad Pitt's performance, which is at it's worst, completely emotionless and un-involving.

Where are you seeing "hate"?

There's a difference between not liking something and disliking it. Most of the non-positive opinions about the film here seem to be of the "not interested" or "yeah, it was OK, but I don't feel the need to watch it again" variety.

To me, "hate" is more "Oh, God, I can't stand that film! Who can possibly like that crap?" and I don't see any of that here.

Ok... Why all the dislike...

Really not a big deal to pick up on my choice of words really?
