Default CGI Anime

Not sure if I'm in the right section to ask this, but here goes.
I love CGI animated material from Asia, but there aren't many.

My favorites are:

Wonderful Days (2003) a.k.a. Sky Blue
Appleseed (2004)
Appleseed: Ex Machina (2007)
Vexille (2007)
although I own Appleseed on DVD and Appleseed: Ex Machina on blu-ray, I like to have them all on blu-ray.

I was wondering if there are more of these movies out there.
I know Ghost in the Shell comes close in graphics.
And there's the upcoming Appleseed Alpha (which looks more like a videogame)
And ofcourse Space Pirate Captain Harlock.

Also which Vexille is the best version to get?
There are 3 listed on blu-ray.com

thanks in advance

1 of the releases for Vexille listed here on Blu-ray.com was cancelled. The other 2 are the same thing except 1 has the S.A.V.E. banner on the cover and the other does not.

I enjoyed Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and i'm not exactly a big fan of Final Fantasy.

Ghost in the Shell:Arise is all 3D CGi as is Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

There's also Cat Shit One - like Call of Duty with animals...it's awesome in the action department if you like modern military tactics, but its really short at about 20'ish minutes!

There is also one known simply as TO (done by Sori of Appleseed/Vexille fame) which is based off 2 stories from the Graphic Novel trilogy 2001 Nights...but nowhere as good as the graphic novels. Not really recommended...

Actually GiTS: Arise is about 50/50 CGi 3d models/2d models. 2nd one has more CGi 3d models than the first one though. There's also the TV series Arpeggio of Blue Steel which is 100% CGi 3D models (took me a few episodes to figure that out during the simulcast last year)... it's all on how you want the look to be and the color/lighting choices for rendering...

Also like to add RWBY to the fully 3D CGi mix...

Space Pirate Captain Harlock is another one. I just got in the mail yesterday, but haven't had a chance to watch it.

That one was already mentioned in the first post by the OP...

What about stuff like Dead Space Downfall and Aftermath, and King of Thorn - they use CGI for all the backgrounds, at least - or is the OP only looking for the more 3D CGI stuff?

He's looking for stuff which is completely computer generated.

Blerg, how did I not see that? I'll redeem myself by mentioning Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror, then. I haven't seen it myself but it's CGI.

It's not that I am aware of. IIRC it's a PC game.

Wonderful Days is really nice since it blends many diffrent animation techiques. Extended version is only avaliable from Korea on blu-ray.

Looking forward to Appleseed Alpha since Ex Machina was amazing. Only japanese blu-ray of Ex Machina have lossless original audio but that is out of print

Captain Harlock was really great, especially the visuals. Hope US/UK will get a deluxe blu-ray treatment soon as Japan and France did.

Gits: Innocence is a personal favorite. The expensive japanese blu-ray is the best overall.

I like both Final Fantasy but since FF7 is among the best games ever Advent Children ranks highest.

Vexille got very nice visuals and a cool story. Also a favorite.

King of Thorn isn't all CG? Great movie anyways

I think most new anime movies is always using some kind of CG so a little hard to know where the line should be drawn.
