Saw on twitter that the Destiny Beta was played by more people than any other previous Bungie title. That made me laugh. Of course more people played, it was on 4 different consoles compared to Halo only being on Xbox 360

I know NARMAK set up a clan, but I don't know if that was still going since the Alpha.
I have a clan set up if you guys wanna join. Not the same name as Alpha but it's still pretty well named. SARACENS.

I had a friend check. I clocked in a total of 79 hours 9 minutes. Obviously if I include the Alpha, I probably clocked in close to 100 hours. Damn, I don't know what to say myself

Guess final game might keep me busy for as long as Bungie claim.
Been a long time since I visited these forums, glad to see the gaming section is still going strong...

As to NARMAK's question, 91 hours and change on the Beta. As to the Alpha, I can't say for sure, but I was pretty glued to my PS4 for the entirety of that weekend... I don't think it would be too far off base to say it exceeded 30-40 hours.

So thanks to work I dropped of the face of the planet for a couple months. Completely missed Destiny alpha/beta/anything.

A lot of the footage I saw was pvp action, which I'm not really into anymore. Is there a lot of single-player and team action?

Got my copy pre-ordered via PSN, so tick tock.

Yes, the entire Campaign can be played either solo/co-op. Strikes are usually done co-op with 3 others, and Raids will be super hard 6 player co-op.

I made 2 videos using the PS4's SHAREfactory app...

Well my best buy preorder got cancelled (ordered the limited edition). Got an email today that they cancelled it but they did give me $50 credit. I would never have expected $50 credit so I guess it getting cancelled isn't all bad. Anyone else order from best buy get a cancellation email?

Now you have me worried. What was the date of your original order?

I guess the only advantage of the ghost edition being exclusive to game in the UK is that they get every copy of it allocated to them. So hopefully no one's pre order here gets cancelled.

I've never seen this before for an IP where the Collectors AND Limited Edition are exceeding expected production and need cancelling BY retailers. Usually the productions over runs a la Watch Dogs and then sell for less months after.

7-23-14, so not long ago. My fault for waiting. I'm guessing you would have got the email by now if your order was getting cancelled. I heard tons of people got the email yesterday.

I was going to use my $50 credit to get a PSN card and then order it digitally now so at least it will be preloaded. sucks though. Or I could wait and try to get it the day of but that might be risky.

Sounds like I am the only one on these boards who got the email though

DCUO wasn't this bad, but pretty close. There were some collector editions in the first week or two in the wild at some stores, but they all pretty quickly vanished.

Of course in that case, the collector's edition had exclusive useful DLC (the Bat-bot and Joker-bot pets) that has never been re-released.

In this case, the only big differentiation is the toy Ghost. If the game is that popular I'm sure that a mass market release of the Ghost with lights and sounds will get release as a collectible at some point I can buy. (Probably with better production values to boot.)

I have the Limited Edition for PS4 preordered that was not cancelled. And have been contemplating keeping or going with the Digital Guardian Edition, when I heard some of these orders were getting cancelled and been given $50 gift cards I was kind of hoping mine would be one of the cancelled ones, it was not.

So if there is anyone looking to still get the Physical "Limited Edition" for PS4 I would be willing to sale you mine for your $85 ($79.99 cost with gamers club unlocked + $5 tax) plus the $50 gift card which you should be able to purchase a $50 PlayStation Network Card on your account and send to me.

And once payment has been fully received I will have the shipping address changed on my order to your address I have it set up with Expedited shipping so you should receive it on or close to release date.

I'm counting down the days till release, but at the same time I know its a good thing because i'm having to replace both my Dualshock 4s under warranty and the turnaround for both could be 14+ days.

I've also ordered silicone covers and thumb grips from Amazon so when the new DS4s arrive, they'll not wear as quick.

The Last of Us MP is also keeping me occupied and I have platinums to complete. Also, life in general keeps me busy.
