![]() I've done a test projection of 11 feet wall-to-wall (projector one side and the screen the other) with a 97" screen and sitting about five/six feet away from the screen using the Panasonic PT-AE2000. The reason was to accommodate the possible 7.1 speakers placement. Simply put, the image looks great and is very immersive. At that distance, I did not see the screen-door effect which is to say that the projector is getting all the credit. And at that 11 feet distance, 97" is the maximum screen size for a 16:9 ratio. If you're going for constant height screens and your wall is wider than longer, you can get a bigger screen for 2.40 AR movies. As George Lucas said, sound is 50% of the experience. So I say if you want the slam bang audio components, get that first. Then upgrade to a 1080p projector. Or do the reverse. fuad |
