As long as I can see an improvement in play I will be ecstatic. Should be easy enough to do considering last year.

I think we will go 13-2. I think will lose a game in the regular season and lose in the playoff. On paper we should win every game, but I have to see how we play when we are the hunted. Then we got extremely lucky last season with no injuries to key guys, so hopefully our luck continues there. Saying all of that I'm hoping for 15-0 and a repeat championship.

unlike phyllis, i live in the real world.
that's not to say i don't hope we go undefeated. i'm sure every other fan has the same hopes for their respective team(s). but i can look at the roster, number of returning starters, number of spots at which we have to replace a starter and the schedule and determine how the season will probably go. |

Yes it is true. If there was a demand for the PAC-12 Network like there was for the SEC Network, DirecTV would be killing themselves to negotiate a deal to carry the channel. Here's an article showing the commissioner of the PAC-12 whining about DirecTV not negotiating with them to carry the PAC-12 network. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports...ts-at-directv/ If a dollar can be made on it, then DirecTV would be on it like "white on rice". As for the PAC-12, let's look at the TV ratings for last year. http://www.goodbullhunting.com/2013/...ason-final-sec UCLA and Southern Cal are ranked 29th and 30th respectively as far as TV ratings go...(good for one spot ahead of the dumpster fire known as Purdue). The highest ranked team in TV ratings for the PAC-12 was Stanford and it came in at a pathetic #18 ranking. You can say the people in those places love college football all you want, but every measuring stick available shows that they really don't. When the 2nd most populated city in the America has two top 25 football programs yet only comes in one spot ahead of a dumpy Big Ten school located in the middle of nowhere Indiana, it says a lot about the passion (or lack thereof) of that area. |

This has to be one of the dumbest comments I've ever seen. Nothing to do in the "deep south"? ![]() Aside from that..... You're changing your argument. You're argument was that "MANY" fans west of the Rockies wanted the network and I showed you using the only metrics available as to why that belief is false. Where the rubber meets the road is in TV ratings. The SEC has them, the PAC-12 does NOT. |
