It's hard to compare the two. As far as comic book movies go with people who actually have powers (Batman and Iron Man don't) The Hulk is easily the best comic book movie.

It's hard comparing the three, because Batman and Iron Man try to ground themselves in reality, while the Hulk needs you to suspend that belief a lot more. I bought it.

Edit: I do think that there are some deleted scenes that would've benefited the Hulk.
The 70 mins on the Blu-ray, you mean? Yeah, can't wait to those when it's out.

Yeah. I'm glad they cut the Leonard Samson stuff. While it's very intriguing to have Banner talk to a shrink (both of them being genius) I didn't like the casting for Samson. I'm glad they didn't name him in the movie so they can recast later.

But there were scenes that were in the story between Bruce and Betty that would've fleshed them out even more (as a couple) that would've been refreshing. Also more with Banner that would've fleshed his genius out a little more. I was really sad when I saw the arctic scene didn't make the cut. I understand though. The movie was already close to 2 hours. There's only so much you can do when trying to reinvigorate a franchise. A 2:15 or 2:30 movie would've turned off a lot of casual summer movie goers.

This blu-ray should be ground breaking as Leterrier has stated that everything filmed will be on the blu-ray (not the dvd). I don't think this has ever been done. It remains to be seen if Universal will let him, but that's what he wants. If he does, I hope it's spread over two discs!

I'm not a very good reviewer. I like to post my thoughts in spurts. I do want to convey something that I noticed (that may fly by people who don't know the back story of The Hulk)

The Eyes. Ed Norton was brilliant conveying his angst via his eyes. especially when with Betty. To an extension of this, The Hulk. If you watch his eyes (Ed Norton's face was used to capture the expressions of the Hulk). You can see in Hulks eyes how he "just wants to be left alone" which was a theme throughout the 70's and 80's in the comics. Even in the attack in the bottling factory, you hear the hulk growl out (in almost a sigh) "Leave me alone." During the climactic Finale you see him
[Show spoiler]as he's getting his ass handed to him over and over again he just doesn't want to fight. He only attacks firstly when attacked and secondly when he sees Betty in danger.
I thought this detail was great.

I think the Hulk has the best finale out of all the comic book movies.

I was right about the sound mixing on Iron Man. The Incredible Hulk is much, much better.

I'd love how you could see his muscles rip before he would move. They really put a lot of detail into it.

Ken's Review: The Incredible Hulk - The One and Only Hulk Movie!

Then there are the action scenes. When it comes to the fight sequences between the military and Hulk or Abomination and Hulk, you just can't beat these scenes. As much as I enjoyed the fights in Iron Man, I was equally blown away, if not more, by the fights in Incredible Hulk. They were so beautifully done that your eyes are popping out, while at the same time so intense that you forget to breathe.

What's impressive also is that Hulk is done by Rhythm & Hues. Previously it was done by ILM. R&H are usually contracted in making animals talk.

I felt the same way. There were moments when the music pulls you in and tenses you up. You realize you're holding your breath at certain times. REally effective!

For those of us who have been reading not only Hulk comics but comics in general since likely before you were poped out sunshine.

It's only in the Ultimate Marvel stuff that Nick Fury was re-painted as an African American.

He's been a white guy to us true fans for well over 40 years.

I liked this movie better than iron man. The incredible hulk relies less on comedic relief and has more of a darker or serious tone, capturing banner's life on the run.

This has some of the best action seen to date in it. The score captured the horrific moments of action and story telling. The action was brutal and will make many hold their breath.

I just thinking ahead on the blu ray. With lossless audio and juicy 1080p/i. I really hope the start implementing seamless branching. Wasn't that promised in SD DVD?? Ahh I can't wait for the holidays, get some wine and throw in Iron man and then the Hulk on the PS3
