First, yes, I mean't I don't care if the receiver processes all the audio codecs.

Second, I actually have five current HDMI inputs by use of an HDMI switcher. They are:

Verizon FiOS HD DVR
HD DVD
PS3
HD camcorder
DVR

And a Mac Quad running to a PC input.

I plan to move the DVR to a Component input, and switch the other four.

I am well aware of the HDMI switchers. In fact, I like the one I have by Oppo that I've been using up until now. I would prefer to replace an HDMI switcher with a receiver that handles more HDMI inputs. It's really pretty ridiculous in today's error to only offer two. My TV offers four. Why can't the receiver?
