Default Tiger Again...

Is it not true that Woods is the most clutch athlete in the history of sport??
That putt was just another in his line of infamous battles. Unbelieveable!!

Put him up there with Jordan (I'm not a Jordan or Tiger fan really.... but they're both great... you gotta give them that!)

I still have trouble recognizing golf as a "sport" and golfers as "athletes."

Why?

Ask any NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL/MLS Player who plays golf and they will say IT IS THE HARDER SPORTS for them.

Ask MJ about his golfing.

It's definitely a game of skill. So is billiards, chess, and darts. Are those sports?

If you saw the incredible pain he was in from having knee surgery 2 months ago and torquing his body 128mph almost 225 times, you'd think he was an athlete. One of the few most gifted athletes and no doubt one of the most clutch ever.
It's not opinion based, it's proven fact, there's not even an argument. He's almost inhuman. And the examples you mentioned require no physical exertion.

We already have a "Hockey and Golf bashing" thread..... take it over there..... I didn't realize we were trying to determine what Tiger is doing is "Sport" or "Game of Skill" related.

It's hard not to be a Tiger fan. He's just so damn good. That third day when he had those two crazy shots, that one-hopper in the hole out of a bunker?, I think, and that long-as-hell putt from the edge of the green...incredible. Just think, he's not even 100% healthy. I don't think anybody has ever dominated their sport like Tiger (Federer?). Right now though, he's a stroke behind on the 16.

If Rocco does win, he deserves it. Nobody thought he'd be here last week. I love Tiger but I also cheer for everyone else while rooting for him.
