There's either a DVD or BD membership that you sign up for initially....
it's very YMMV when dealing with DMC. It should be no problem to sign up for a DVD membership and then request BD's but that probably wouldn't fly [as sometimes the opposite can cause confusion when it's actually saving them money and yet still denied
