Some people will refuse to believe this but my sub was humming and it was caused by a ground loop from the cable tv wire. I unplugged the wire from the cable box(the one from the wall) and as soon as I unplugged it.. Hum was gone...
If you have a cable box in your system and if it is connected to your tv or receiver try doing that.. How I fixed it was I already owned a monster hks1000 surge protector and power line conditioner. I plugged the cable tv wire into that and then out to the box.. no more hum... I talked to a few people about this and they said almost 90% of the time that is the cause of the hum.. |
