In a comment on their post for the "The Master" SteelBook (

) Plain stated that there will not be a keepcase edition of "I Saw the Devil" only a SteelBook (I can live with that...).

I picked up the Zavvi version and it does look good. This has to be very special to warrant a purchase.

It will definitely be better than the Zavvi steel, just going by the artwork and what PA has done with all of their other releases, I'm confident it'll be a home run. That's the reason I've resisted picking up the Zavvi release.

I wonder if they will do a full slip and a ¼ slip, or just the full slip? I'm actually a little relieved they aren't doing a keepcase edition, because I know I would have to have it, so that will save me about $40.

Can you tell I'm a little excited for this release?

Pricing also plays a part. The Zavvi release is about £15. The PA one is going to be £28-30 after shipping. Also PA have released just one Steelbook against other retailers who are pumping out plenty.

Was this announced...I thought I heard this was going to be like The Wrestler and be around $35 USD.

Yeah, I'm guessing it will be priced similar to The Wrestler but I think he was including shipping into his price, which iirc is $9 from PA, so that would make it $44 after shipping.

For me, when it comes to owning the superior release of a film, especially so since it's been overseen by the director himself, I am more than willing to spend the $15-20 extra. The Zavvi steel is fine for what it is, but it's pretty basic in my eyes when compared to the complete package this will be.

I have the zavvi steel but haven't opened it yet because I want to try to get a copy of this one, granted that it actually goes up for preorder

... I don't think the zavvi steel looks bad at all but I think the kimchi version will be a better overall package

That's pretty awesome looking, the only thing I don't care too much for is the inside art. I think it's funny they took pics of it along side the Zavvi one.

Hopefully preorder will be soon.
