Hayden Christiansen in Star Wars, I'm sure this has already been said.

I actually think it's one of Keanu's best performances. His accent grew on me. Pacino's southern accent in Scent of a Woman takes the cake, though.

While O'Donnell was obviously terrible physical miscasting for Betty, she absolutely NAILED her trademark giggle.

The movies should have never been made in the first place. Just a stupid idea to begin with.

You do know that in the STEM studies, in the S and the M parts more women get degrees than men right now. Now, they are woefully underrepresented in the T and E areas. But still.
That is not the point, there are plenty of attractive (suitable for a Bond film) actress' who could play a convincing scientist. Denise Richards is not one of them.

My choice would be Scarlett Johannson in the MCU.

Scarlett Johannson can't act her way out of an open field if she isn't portraying a badass.

Yes. Denise Richards wouldn't be my choice, either.

But EVERY SINGLE miscast scientist was a woman. That's a little strange.

Default Batman and the Joker

On top of my head, Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Even as I kid I thought he was too fat and old to play the part. Michael Keaton is another one that I didn't picture as Bruce Wayne. As Batman he's ok because they gave him fake muscles in his rubber suit, boots that made home taller, and more than half his face is covered.

This may be the most miscast male scientist - Henry Rollins in Johnny Mnemonic - but undoubtedly the coolest and most hysterical.

The man is absolutely brilliant, love him and not a bad thing to say about him, but surely a bold casting choice.

I agree. I don't think Keaton gives a convincing performance, at least not as Wayne.

On paper, Keaton being cast as Batman would have looked like a joke. I think he was a bit of a comedian prior to Batman and it would have been the equivalent of Ben Stiller announced as Batman today..BUT..Keaton IS effective, at least to me.
