No extras have been submitted to the BBFC, and the episodes were submitted a while ago, so I'm guessing it's barebones. But it will likely be spread across four discs, so that's a positive.

Was going to say the same thing. The BBFC added listings to their website a few weeks ago for each of the discs in the Hannibal: Season Two UK set (assuming it was for both the DVD and Blu-ray sets), and I haven't seen any listings added for extras/bonus features in the set. Will likely at some point double dip and get the US Blu-ray release of the second season, unless it gets released in Europe on Blu-ray (but only if a possible European Blu-ray release has the same extras as in the US Blu-ray set).

Was going to double dip and get the US Blu-ray release of the first season, for the extras not in the UK Blu-ray set.

I was going to do the same thing, but life's too short and I could be spending my money on other stuff I haven't seen before...

Man that just sucks. It does not even make sense that there is no extras since the release date is about the same as the US. I could understand with s1 because that came much earlier out in UK. So why no extras now when its coming out the same time. This is really an outrage imo

i can't be the only one that is pissed about this ?

I mean they can't use the excuse they had no time to put extras on when its released later than the US set and it has over 8 hours of extras including some commentaries. This is pretty messed up that there is absolutely NO EXTRAS on the UK set. What the hell were they thinking this is a big FU to the fans imo.

My guess is Guamont aren't producing the extras, Lionsgate are, and Studiocanal can't be arsed to negotiate with them. I can't say I personally care, because I doubt the extras are substantial enough to bother me...

From the press release for US edition:

Before Hannibal Season 3 airs on NBC catch up with Hannibal: Season Two, which contains all 13 episodes on three-discs loaded with special features that include select episode audio commentaries with the cast and crew, a feature-length documentary on the making of episode 205, featurettes on the style of Hannibal Lector and the prosthetics and effects in the show, cast and crew reflections on Season 2, webisodes, deleted scenes and a gag reel.

Special Features:

Audio Commentaries on Select Episodes with Cast and Crew
This Is My Design Documentary
"The Style of a Killer" featurette
"Bodies of Lies" featurette
Hannibal Season 2: Killer Intentions
Post Mortem with Scott Thompson (Webisodes)
Deleted Scenes
Gag Reel

That's substantial enough to bother me. I'll be waiting until the US edition drops in price.

It came from a press release, it's in their interests to hype it up. I'll wait for independent reviews.

Everyone should/did have access to the special features (which were done in June). If Studio Canal isn't including them, it has nothing to do with Gaumont or Lionsgate and EVERYTHING to do with SC. We submitted them worldwide.

It was classified by the BBFC on 7th July, the BBFC reckon classification takes around 6-8 days on average. (Presumably that's working days - in the UK Saturday and Sunday aren't considered working days.) So it will have been submitted on or before 27th June. It was submitted in blocks of episodes, so we can assume Studiocanal sent them a final master or close to final master. Which means Studiocanal were probably producing their master as/before the materials became available...

I'm intrigued by the 82 minute documentary, though so I'll probably buy the UK release, then wait for the US set to go cheap and import it...
