PS: or it's a joke/ red herring from the producers and the film won't even have Doom in it at all
It seems strange that they would CGI the whole costume. Even Iron Man uses practical sections of the suit to save money vs CGIing the whole thing.

Wouldn't be enormously expensive to convert that hideous thing to the traditional outfit for every scene/shot he is in?

Personally, I think that's what he'll look like.

I don't know, they could I guess. Wasn't Reynolds costume completely CG in Green Lantern.

Not saying they should (I long for the days of practical effects but that's another rant), but it would be feasible.

The Green Lantern uniforms are light constructs, so the idea of them being CGed made sense for the movie. There's absolutely no reason why Doom's costume would need to be CG, which is probably why it isn't. That's what he's going to look like in the movie, folks -- Stop fooling yourselves, this movie isn't going to be anything like what it should be.

Ryan Reynolds also wore a reference suit for the CGI while on set. The lack of reference points or tracking hardware on this Doom costume suggests little CGI will be used, if any at all.

I still agree with others that what we're seeing is the fully realized costume as it appears in the film; Death Eater rip-off and all.

I am wondering, we know that a movie must be made in order for them to keep the rights of the franchise. However does this mean the movie must be release? I haven't keep up with everything about this movie but from what I have seen it's looking more and more like a major disaster and even make the previous two look like Oscars contenders Do they still have to release this in order to keep the rights or they can just say "movie is made, screw it" and just lock it away somewhere and forget it ever was made?

I am thinking that they may never release this, maybe? I don't know?

I say Fox should give up, let this flop and the rights go back to Disney.

Who wants Galactus in Avengers 4 and Silver Surfer in Guardians 2?

Ask Roger Corman.

That's what I am thinking about, it's been done before with the F4, could they do it once more? When you consider just how bad the word is on this, they might be thinking about it very hard.

Once upon a time, maybe, but ever since the Roger Corman version, movie contracts prolly now have clauses that prohibit intentionally burying a movie.

Yes, I doubt very much this new version - however it turns out - will end up buried like the Corman film.

That's sad, because this deserves to be buried. If the Fox execs had no intention of making a faithful adaptation, they never should've greenlit this. I'd be very surprised if it even makes half its budget back at the box office.

With all the disastrous decisions being made, I highly doubt it.
