Sitting in a glass cabinet, there it was. Just sitting there, among piles of Avengers and 47 Ronin. The film that I'd been looking for for.. what, two years now? Three years? Was it a mirage? Nope, it was there.

I'm really anal about buying a film if it originally shipped with a slipcover, especially if it's a Disney film. I need all of my Disney films complete. The slipcover was there.

It rang up at $18, I guess it was on sale.

When I got home, I inspected it further. The slipcover is slightly damaged at the top, no big deal. Hastings being Hastings, though, I wanted to take it out of their protective bag and make sure that all of the discs were there. If I had opened it and there was a copy of The Devil Wears Prada, I don't think that I would've been surprised.

One problem.

After sliding the slipcover off, I discovered that it's still factory sealed!!!!!

I should probably go buy a lottery ticket.

Wow, I thought the hype was going to be a little over exaggerated, but you got an amazing deal. That is one I am looking for also. Congrats.

Both are from Hastings.

Ain't Them Bodies Saints is a pretty good film. I only paid $2.99 for it too. Got a PV copy, but it does include all the special features.

The Children of the Corn DVD Collection includes films 2-7, which is fine with me because I already own the first one on Blu-ray. I love the second one. Some of the other ones are just OK or are pretty crappy, but I wanted to own them anyway. I only paid a few bucks for the set, so I'm not complaining.

Picked these up for my Daughter from Amazon. Luckily they came with slipcovers. Caught on late to the Diamond edition party.

No - did they release a lenticular slip for the 3D version of Beauty and the Beast?! I hope not, I thought that I could close the chapter on finding a complete 3D version!

Thanks for the congrats, guys - I called a friend and he was like "eh", but my wife (also a Disney fanatic) was pretty excited, we've been looking for this for a long time. I definitely built up the anticipation on that post - I was way too excited, and I still am.

Disney still has the lenticular slipcover. You can call and order one.

If you're a podcast fan, Now Playing Podcast is just beginning their full Children of the Corn retrospective series. It's great stuff.
