I am wondering about the "share-play" feature is whether you need to download the game or does it stream the game to another PS4 similar to the Vita's remote play? I think the latter would make more sense since replying on people downloading the game would be very inconvenient, and the idea of this feature is making convenience paramount.

They already said that there would be no DLing involved. I assume theyre ps4 would be remoting into yours like the vita does

Nintendo lets you upload MK8 game clips right off the Wii U console. I'm hoping Sony can somehow incorporate this feature.

The second Uncharted 3 beta had that functionality as well.

is the network slow for anybody else? i tried loading up warframe. and, this is far as i get. i tried both logging/restarting the ps4. it was working great all day yesterday.

It's widespread, affecting blizzard s battle.net league of legends brazzers and others. There's nothing any if these companies can do to prevent a DDoS attack so just have to grin and bear it unfortunately.

They also got soe presidents flight diverted too by posting a bomb threat on Twitter stating his flight number. They've also posted pictures of Islamist state fire whatever reason.

Because DDoS only affects those that are being targeted by the person/s behind the attack. It just so happens this "lizardSwquad" are hitting those specific sites for whatever reason.

I'm sure that if they were to target MS they would be having issues too.

Xbox Live was brought down by a DDoS in January and nobody freaked out about it.

Why people have implicit faith in Microsoft all of all companies, after the huge amounts of hacks that Windows/Office/Internet Explorer have enabled over the years, is pretty mind-boggling to me.

When you're on something like 90% of all desktops worldwide every hacker in the world is going to be pouring through your code looking for exploits. Security through obscurity is a not real security, as Apple recently found out.

I didn't make my point clear. I've very vocal about defending companies because hacks happen to everybody, hackers are determined and eventually get in.

What I don't understand is the people who say "Microsoft never has this happen!" whenever Sony gets hacked, or DDoS'd, or anything else bad. THAT's the implicit trust I'm referring to. How can anyone think that when Microsoft has the most visibly hacked software in the world?

This was just damage control, it seems Sony let slip a few weeks too soon since Themes have just been announced for update 2.00

Like on the PS3, users will be able to customize the look and feel of their PlayStation 4 user interface which will include themes inspired by games available on the platform.
The PlayStation 4 2.0 software update is expected to arrive sometime in September.

I hope we can do background only since most themes make me want to stab out my eyes and make ui's harder to navigate.

And still no way to organize the mess that is the content bar (or whatever the **** they want to call where the game launchers reside).
