Eh, if I hadn't seen the futurepak, I might have bit on this but I really like the embossing on that one, plus always domestic over foreign so I'll be passing on this one.

Pacific Rim would've been a must have, but it came out before I even knew of Blufans and probably costs way too much now. I bought the 3D US Blu the week it came out and later got the 2D US Blu (for the lenticular slip) cheap on Black Friday. So that'd be expensive for a triple dip.

I didn't really care for Godzilla though. I thought it was a tremendous waste of a terrific cast and the main human character was the weakest acting link, which didn't help. I liked Gareth Edwards' Monsters much much more and its budget was probably less than the big Godzilla movie spent on craft services (aka catering table). I'd rather buy the Criterion digipack of the original film and keep looking forward to Pacific Rim 2 (not to mention my anticipation for Crimson Peak).

Let me tell you that IF Godzilla and King Kong appear in Pacific Rim 2, I will cut off my tubesteak and personally serve it to Guillermo Del Toro on a bed of lettuce and make him eat it!

The thing is Pacific Rim 2 is indefinitely shelved which is sad...

What I want is for Del Toro to pursue Hellboy 3...
