James Gunn explains the would-have-been Stan Lee cameo and how disney never even saw the scene.

Yeah, all I needed to do was spend about 90 grand and I would have put it over the $23M mark. I wish I'd known that in advance......oh well, too late now.

I am REALLY glad they didnt use that Stan Lee cameo. I already think his cameos take people out of the movies, but that one would have been even more out of place and shoehorned in.

...and it was Marvel that nixed it, not Disney.

It's like Stan Lee has no opinions on the matter. Whatever Disney or Marvel says and he's alright with.

It will probably be a deleted scene on the Blu-ray release of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Question (perhaps already discussed and slight spoiler) - does Thanos just hang out on his throne all day looking out into the open waiting for people to come speak wot him?

LOLLLL @ the first few pages of this thread. What a turnaround.

Thanos needs a makeover. I'm sorry but I just cant get over how he looks very little like the Thanos from Infinity Gauntlet. The voice needs to be tweaked to sound less like an angry Josh Brolin and more like a power hungry mad titan.

1. As long as the movie is good, the mainstream will see pretty much anything at least once
2. As long as the comic book movie is good, it doesn't matter what the mainstream thinks because it's >We The Geek-le< who will go to see them again... and again... and again...[/

Going to see this again later today Probably in a DOLBY ATMOS theater (76 mins away). My "area" IMAX is about 50 mins away so I for a few mins longer drive, I figured I'd Finally give ATMOS a try

* saw it a few weeks ago out of state, but in a regular theater (3D, but smallish theater, NO Stadium seating , & a decent Audio system) *
