Same thing hapened to me for Dolls. I contacted Amazon yesterday and the CS rep told me not to worry about it and I would get the product I pre-ordered. However, since the product photo still shows Welcome to the Space Show DVD (whatever the heck that is) even though Amazon have since added a separate listing for the actual Dolls collector's edition, I have a feeling I'd continuously receive the standard email that they have not yet been able to obtain the product ordered etc. because it's linked to Welcome to the Space Show (or worse - I get that DVD instead). I simply decided not to risk a screw up post release and cancelled, and then re-ordered Dolls via the correct product link for the extra $4.....

I was finally eligible to sign up for Amazon Student Prime, and I can safely say that it is a very, very dangerous service. It's much more fun to find something and buy it without trying to make a $25 order for free shipping. That false sense of "it's so cheap cause it's only $10" is going to add up so fast. Damn Amazon.

quick question to save me from searching for an answer...if i sign up for prime now, will my pre-orders be upgraded to 2 day shipping (or release date arrival or whatever they offer)? or do the prime benefits just start on new orders?

It starts once you sign up. Open orders from before you signed up for prime are not upgraded. And if you change the shipping speed you still won't get the prime shipping options. Only new orders after signing up for prime get the new options. However if the items are the same price just cancel and orde again under prime if you want. Also I was able to get a Amazon rep to change one of mine to the free 2-day shipping through the chat when I wasn't aware of the rule. So you can try that for some orders but I wouldn't ask to change too many, I just get weary of amazon's banning.

Just do this: when you see the lower price on amazon screen cap it and save it. This forum always will let you know the cheapest price especially the official thread for the blu release. Keep doing that and when it's charged to your credit card just wait a day or so, if it not adjusted automatically email them the amount you saw as lowest price. That'll be a lot easier to do than constantly worrying about being overcharged. Most of the price matching is all done by automation by them so it's almost always going to give you the right price but sometimes mistakes happen. |

It should be upgradeable. After all you are now using Prime, and the item is a pre-order. I have done it previously through US Amazon Prime where i just go in and change my shipping option to 2 day(it should now list it with no cost) Also, if you have preorders that release after your prime runs out, they will still ship out as 2 day shipping.

Talked about in the film thread but didn't see it here...
Amazon has $19 pre-order for the 7 movie Saw Complete collection coming out Sept 23rd. That's cheaper than the current USA price (which was briefly $17.50 USD) http://www.amazon.ca/Saw-Complete-Mo.../dp/B00MFCPVO6 Here's a brief (but maybe not accurate) summary of the lengthy discussion from the other thread... Confusion about the Lionsgate and Amazon listing saying 3 discs for 7 movies, and running time appears too short. Is it a misprint? Some say no, that Leprechaun is also being disc-crammed, so Saw might be too. How would they split 7 movies on 3 discs? Would they actually split one movie in the middle to span discs? Are special features being axed? Will it have the 3D final movie? Will they be lower grade remasters? For some reason studio and distributor's social media staff never actually answer useful questions on sites like these so nobody knows! |
