It is NOW available at sony.com. I downloaded it and have already upgraded my machine. Make certain you implicitly follow the instructions.

Only 3.90 is at the link for now on Sony from what I can see, but 3.95 should be added soon which is what he used. I'm updating now as well.

I wouldn't install it untill it appears in the sony support site. I've heard this update it's only for european models. So to install it might cause you problems instead of fixing them. I won't mess with my BD player, dunno about you.

I'll wait until it appears in the sony site for the americas, if the new update also applies for american models and not only for europeans, then in a matter of days or even hours will appear the link. What is the rush? better to be sure than to regret it later.

Well, I just updated to 3.95 and the "Across the Universe" Stop button glitch is now fixed; son when you press the Stop button it really... stops
Haven't noticed anything else.

After this upgrade I don't think the firmware upgrades are made regionally, I think Sony only makes one firmware worldwide.

It could be the link from the vatican for all I care. I won't install it until it appears in the sony support site for the americas.

have you already installed it? ok good for you, but I have no rush. I can wait for a few hours more or even days until it's confirmed that the new firmware its for american models.

Better to be sure than later to regret it, as I said.

Odd...I'm not seeing anything like that. As a matter of fact, on the Sony firmware site, it says:

"NOTE: This utility is only for use with the products identified above and sold in the United States, Latin America, Canada, or Brazil. Not all models are sold in all countries."

Maybe they changed the wording since you last saw it.
