Default region code

Is there region code on BR like DVD´s?
If: Is it as restrictive as on DVD´s=not possible to play
Can you fix the player to be "region free"

THere 3 regions

A = America, Japan, Korea, HongKong, Thailand
B = Europe, South America
C = China

A lot of CE don't use them. Like Warner, they are not using them at all. Disney use them only on their new title (Sony the same), Fox use them on all their titles.

I don't know any region free player out there...

Yes, A B and C regions (though quite a lot of Blu-ray discs are coded to allow any region to play them (ie. coded "A/B/C")).

I'd say it's a lot more restrictive (ie. practically impossible).

No as far as I know. I don't think there are any region free players for sale in countries like the US/UK.
