Wow, have to give that one a BIG second nomination! This would be my holy-grail Blu-Ray...but I don't want just any version...I want the directors cut with the deleted scenes restored and put back into the movie...that is how I saw it originally and I have to say the movie was a LOT better with the deleted scenes back in. I understand them being removed to pull a few extra punches to the audience, but I gotta say, if you dont wanna be beaten up real good, you shouldn't be watching this movie. Give me ALL the punches, and a flawless DTS-HD MA soundtrack and I'll be in heaven.

That is an incredible movie!!! I don't know that there would be much eye candy to that one but nonetheless, that would make an incredible disc!

Well, Jacob's Ladder has some of the most disturbing and realistic special effects I've seen...I would think seeing those in Blu-ray would take the gore and fright to a new level...That's eye-candy to me...and there are a few really awe inspiring big explosions (vietnam battle scenes and of course, the car bomb).

People still want them on BR cause they're great classics/cult films. Like the 6th sense. No eye candy but great movie for BR.

Jacob's Ladder had some freaky scenes. Vietnam acid trip, ice cube bath, frightening quivering head man, stroll through the hospital and many more.

Can't wait. I don't see this coming any time soon though.

I loved Jacob's ladder.

Would absolutely double dip on this one if it came out on BR.

I have a feeling, judging by the DVD release, the master is in all kinds of terrible shape.

How did you see a version originally with all the deleted scenes in?

Fantastic film of course. I find it hard to watch though no matter how much I love it. It emotionally drains me.

That's good then! Effective. No emotional investment = crap movie.

Just think of how much more drained you could get watching it on BR / big flatscreen

I always liked the scenes when his gf shows her cute little boobies. I forgot her name but she was a hottie back then.

Do you guys remember the edit when Danny [chiropractor] adjusts his neck then it flashes to another scene?

Loved that part.

The VHS version I rented in the 90's to watch for the first time, was a "Director's Cut" and had those scenes in the movie. I had no idea they weren't part of the film until I purchased the DVD.
