Baffled as to how this sold out so quick on Zavvi actually. I got the email about 2:30 am AU time and checked their website at 6:30am and it was already sold out. Strange given its got a US release plus a few other UK releases.

yes i was gutted as i had to go out when they went live.

i looked at the Play.Com and there was nothing to say it was ultra rare just limited...then looked at Zavvi and seen it was limited...

came back 4 hours after it went live and It had sold out from Play.Com and Zavvi and also Zavvi had decided to relabel it as ultra limited

so went and per-ordered the steel on amazon for 31.99 not knowing it was going to be the one Zavvi sold out of lol so that is a bit of good luck as far as i am concerned lol plus it was cheaper than Zavvi now its at £18.

but what is strange is Zavvi was selling the steel through Play.Com £2.50 cheaper than its own customers through Zavvi.com? was £17.49

i mean talk about the cheek of it they obviously do not like us

oh and i never got any emails about it or the t-shirt offer??????

and steelbook collector doesn't seem to be updating its lists much at the min either lol

i guess the reason for the 3d and 2d steel-books is to copy the Amaray versions and make even more cash from double and triple dipping??

but then why is it the American counterparts are not the same?
theres all seem to have 2d/3d combined???

just curious..

I saw a video of the FutureShop version by zerox39 on the SteelBook page on Facebook.
It looks ok, but it's a shame that there's no embossing or debossing on it. I guess that means there won't be any on the version that we'll be getting in the UK either.

Still hate the gloss though. I'd prefer a matte finish.

Shame. Looks like i will be cancelling that then. Will wait and see if Zavii does another down the track with embossed or debossed title like 2 & 3.

What is so special about Zavvi that they get so many steelbooks? Are they limited? If there are steels for virtually every movie, does that reduce the value of them as a whole?

answer : it was a tradeware steelbook meaning it was shared between 2 stores.

amazon and zavvi...2k each

zavvi split its 2k between its zavvi store and its zavvi outlet it has on play.com.

funny thing was zavvi charged everyone £19.99...zavi charged £17.49 on play.com they both sold out then amazon.co.uk opend its doors to its 2k @£18

There's a video in the Metalpack section of the new "lights and Sound" packaging they have started to use. Shame it's a metalpack though, I hate not having a spine on things

on Amarays So far the transformers 2D edition only comes with bonus disk on special edition but the 3D edition automaticaly comes with 2D+bonus disc as well

concerning the Steelbooks currently due out...

the information as it stand right now...

the Amazon.UK is the 2D version only so only 1 Bluray disc that being 2D..nothing showing a bonus disc.

The Play.com ES 3D Steelbook im not even sure it has a bonus disc as that is normally only included with the 3D Edition but so far even that is looking like a single 3D bluray also.

so far thats all the info available.
